Is there anyone who can help me how to retrieve my old ds-160? I was applying for b1 before and I got denied and now me and my boyfriend have plan to get fiancee visa but the lawyer asking me about the D's -160 where in she can check why I got denied.

I appreciate all effort. Thank you

Once submitted, you can't get the DS-160 back. You should've done screenshot or print out of the application before hitting submit.

Was B1 done before you met the boyfriend or during this relationship?

I've seen cases denied as people claimed they wanted to visit family/relatives/friends but failing to disclose boyfriend/fiance(e) and then attempting to connect tourist visa application with fiance(e) relationship for length of time. And yes, new DS-160 has a spot for fiance(e) in US just like mother, father, siblings, other relatives.

Were you completely honest and accurate with the info you put in the DS160? If yes, then there's nothing to worry. Getting a B1/B2 visa in the Philippines is really hard and majority gets denied because of lack of strong ties.

A B1/B2 visa denial does not have a negative impact on a K1 (or other immigrant) visa application. Unless you misrepresented yourself on the DS160 form (ex: lying).

Thank you milimelo.

I met him already but because of my friend telling me that I will try to apply for first for b1. But sad to say I got denied. I was interviewd last august 2013. The lawyer said if I got all the questionnaire that I filled up she can check why I got denied. When the consul said to me oh she's your friend. And I corrected her he's my special friend I said(I'm a boy,I hope your not shock about it because right now they allow same sex marriage) do you think I got denied because of this? How will I know the reason why I got denied?

Thank you guys!!!

I applied B-2 visa back in 2010. I brought a bunch of papers showing strong ties to my country. But, one thing that made CO set off when she read that I was going to visit my then boyfriend (now my fiance) and asked me if we have had a plan to get married. She said that embassy really strict to issuing a visa- I think because many people abused the system, visit US, got married, and adjust their status on B-2 visa-.

So, the reason why I got denied because my strong ties -if I had a chance to visit the US - was my then-boyfriend. As long as you told them the truth the B-2 visa denial would not be a problem. There was some VJer here that his then-fiance got denied on K-1 visa because she did not tell the truth on B-2 visa that she actually wanted to visit him. The worst part, after K-1 visa denial her B-2 visa was revoked as well. Now they are married and filed for spousal visa.

Thank you for sharing your story sir. Why you got denied twice? I hope and I pray that k1 is easy for you to get the visa. And just proved to them that you deserved to get the visa approved. Good luck.write me after your interview sir.thank you

the main thing for USCIS is to be honest with them, so that is why we stated in our letters of affidavit that we had B2 visa denials twice.

the CO will see that we were honest and hope this works.

the embassy will know my denials anyways cause they can check my denials in their system
