Dwheels76 I have a question. You make a great job and update every case , have you any idea about us embesy/ consulate in albania about IR-1 cases how long they take generally to schedule an interview? Beacause we call NVC and thay say depends on consulate , we call DOS they say depends on NVC we don't know what to belive now.

Albania I have seen 2 to 4 months after Case Complete. It is dependent on the Embassy always. See its like how the K1's get to go to the embassy calendar and see available dates and signup for the date. Well for us the embassy sends the dates available to NVC with how many slots they have and the times. Its NVC who then schedules the actual cases to the date and time according to case complete and also USCIS receipt date comes into play also.

I think July or August I had about 4 for Albania it was quite the wait I believe 4 months. Don't know why or whats up with the embassy. I tell people who's embassy is open or close or unstable to contact embassy to see whats up.

I know in July there was that terrible flooding in India and all the July folk got moved and it was quite a delay things happen all over at the drop of a hat.

Yeah I am also curious about Egypt's interview wait time, but when I called the embassy they will not give me any information. They just say all I can do is email them and when I email they just give the generic response about how our case is currently at the NVC and we will receive notification when they schedule our interview. We started this whole visa journey when we submitted the I-130 last August, so really sick of waiting lol. But we just have to remain positive and know it is coming soon!! Hoping for no additional processing also!!

Off to my question for everyone. Please advise.

I am having my interview on January 7, 2014.

Have to reschedule my medical examination TO December 19 and 20.

Is that alright considering all those holidays in between?

Also can't have it now, since i am still recovering from a bad cold and sore throat.

Next week, December 9-11, which was supposed to be my med exam appointment, I am having my period!

Instructions tells me to schedule medical exams at least one week after menstrual cycle...

Best I can do is re-set it to December 19 and 20.

Should I be worried? Isn't that too late?

Done. Congratulations. You should get email P4 letter any minute for sure within 24 hrs.

No what you received was the standard P4 interview letter (had to go look at mine from almost a year ago.). The case Complete usually comes 1 week after case complete. Watch them send it this week. Should land tomorrow or tuesday. But thanks for sharing.

And even though it says we will forward some of us still like to tracl. Mine wasn't mailed out until a week later. i followed mine all the way to front desk (I knew cuz my casefile was 20 lbs) hehe

My case was completed on the 26 Nov and I never receive a email telling me it was finish. However on the 29 Nov we receive a email telling us that our NVC completed the domestic pre-processing of the immigrant visa petition........and that interview was for 24 Jan 14.

about 6 to 9 months after Case Complete has been the wait. I think there has only been 3 Yemen on list since last year. You can try I doubt they will tell you anything.

It might get better cuz I know earlier this year was more an issue the embassy closing all the time and so unstable.

Too late? That's plenty of time in advance. Does your medical send results to embassy themselves or give to you to take? When are results available after medical. I know like Nigeria its 4 days results are ready. It's only late if there are issues but I am sure all will be fine.

Thanks again dwheels76! Was doubtful that decision could work...thought it was not enough time.

I was on the phone with the clinic this morning, and they told me they will give me a copy of the results on the second day of the med exams and then will also send actual results to the embassy the day after.

I should now do hotel reservations and double checking document requirements for the medical exams. On my way to my doctor now to certify all vaccines I have already had, to present to the clinic during med exams.

I was on a call with NVC this morning.

The operator told me that my case will be sent out to my local US Embassy/consulate a few days before my interview.

Hmmm I wonder how true is that? Normally, cases are sent out to consulates immediately after case complete--

Also, on the CEAC website, I checked my visa application status, and it said AT NVC--instead of the IN TRANSIT I was hoping for since my Case complete is already exactly 7 days from case complete. Is this an old or normal pattern?

So...the question is...if i want to track my case--when do I begin tracking? COuldn't pinpoint the right date--so i can start tracing...

Any thoughts out there?

I just update when I recived the email of case complete from NVC. Wish you luck my friends!
