AOA,

Hope all are doing well. I am your new AP fellow. I need to clarify some confusions. I read here few posts and could not understand the process of AP going on?

1. Did they keep the passports of all of you?

2. Did they give white sheet to all of you?

3. Does the color of sheet have something specific?

4. Did they give pamphlet of domestic violence to all, they put in AP?

5. In what cases they call for second interview?

6. Why do they call for finger prints again, as they have done it before interview?

7. What type of oath people are referring here, an oath they have already taken in start of interview?

8. What are the signatures people referring here, the electronic signature they done in start of interview?

9. Do we have to repeat every step of interview?

10. Will all this happen again at US embassy Islamabad?

Thanks in advance.

I will appreciate if more people share their experience here.

Do you have a co-sponsor? If you do then you can live with your husband and not have to worry. If you are the only sponsor I would not quit my job to go live in Pakistan. AP can take a long time and in 1 year they can request a new affidavit of support.

YES I have a cosponsor, this is great! So hopeful we will see how long this AP takes before we start thinking about our next move :) Thanks.

My husband was the opposite, in the beginning, I was taking it harder, and husband was more calm, now its like hes more pissed side, and I am calmer because I know how this AP thing works and that its normal for males coming from Pakistan. Like carolyn said, if your not the only sponsor and can manage to get time off from work, u should go and be there, it will make a world of difference.

do you know if males are put in AP or that it takes longer, because the beneficiary has lived abroad before, like in another foreign country, my hubby lived in south korea for a few years, but hes been in pakistan for the past 8 years since then, and they dont give out police certificates, I was wondering if thats the reason hes in AP.

I will try and wait to see how long this AP takes before I think about my next move since I have a cosponsor. You should try visiting your hubby if you can that way he can feel a little better...ugh this waiting sucks!

I dunt see any reason why they put me in Ap

i m a female

no previous marriage

no foreign trip

no police record

married to my first cousin

he is 8 years older than me

no children

no additional docs required

still I was put in Ap FOR abt 11 months :crying::crying:

now they asked for my fresh medical and I have sent it to them hope I'll Get my visa soon InshaALLAH

One question, is the sponsor / husband with green card, scattered job history ? I heard this alert factor. We all pray to be with our love ones as soon as possible.

Wsalaam

1. My husband's passport was kept at the embassy.

2.They gave the 221g white sheet and asked for additional documents

3. As far as I know, a white sheet means its asking for something or its saying your in AP.

4.They gave the pamphlet to hubby

5. I am not sure what cases they call for second interview, most of the time its for fingerpints and oath, or to ask more questions.

6.When so much time has passed, i guess they want a fresh set of fingerprints, that is why they ask for it again

The rest of questions the others can answer as a lot of people have had the experience to go again for fingerprints.

As long as the sponsor can meet the yearly income requirements for the most recent year, i do not think that's a major factor, he/she just has to meet the poverty guidelines set by USCIS.

When you send documents or medicals to the embassy you have to give them some time to see an update. They get a lot of mail and it takes time to sort it in the mailroom. Calling NVC is the only way I know to check and see if they have your documents yet.
