My husband was the opposite, in the beginning, I was taking it harder, and husband was more calm, now its like hes more pissed side, and I am calmer because I know how this AP thing works and that its normal for males coming from Pakistan. Like carolyn said, if your not the only sponsor and can manage to get time off from work, u should go and be there, it will make a world of difference.

do you know if males are put in AP or that it takes longer, because the beneficiary has lived abroad before, like in another foreign country, my hubby lived in south korea for a few years, but hes been in pakistan for the past 8 years since then, and they dont give out police certificates, I was wondering if thats the reason hes in AP.

A person/case can be put into AP for any number of reasons. Living in foreign country other than Pakistan could be one of them but nobody knows for sure. They keep the AP process a secret.

Finally some activity on our case after almost 2.5 yrs. we received quite a few uodates in oct and in nov too sometimes late at night in pakistan time, meaning it was probably being worked on from usa. Anyhow, last week my wife received a call from the embassy to submit electronically a document. She sent that the same day. However no update until now. Even no acknowledgement. I was trying to submit an inquiry today asking the embassy if it was well received by them, but the system seems to be down.

Anyone else have experiences of how long embassy takes to respond in terms of acknowledgement after u send them a document they request?

Good sign that they have started asking for things, it means visa will be issued soon, any reason for delay? were they any issues at interview? The embassy does not always reply to emails or give acknowledgement of anything.

It really depends, if they call themselves, they you can ask, or u can call the national visa center and ask them if the embassy got it.

Try in a day or two to see if your email goes through.

Today fingerprint done,

Went embassy at 11:45 interview scheduled at 12:30, wait for almost 2 hours then called and given paper to read loudly and then sign, afterthat CO congratulated that you will receive ur passport in 2 weeks .but still status AP.
