Wow, masha'Allah. Congratulations! You can contact the NVC in a week or two to find our your case number. Also, you'll have to submit your documents to the embassy, not the NVC. In order to prepare beforehand, look up the instructions specific to your embassy.

I put extra $$$ on my packet to get approved as soon as they see it.

Seriously, don't be a hater. I did what I did maybe I put extra paper works that I think is crucial and they will ask for it anyways so I put every supporting document I think they will ever need for my petition. But I think above all I get lucky and I put a lot of prayers too.

Well it would seem so that the minimum time ti wait after your NOA2 is around 2-4 weeks.

The maximum... in theory is 8. What I don't know is how the USCIS fast processing will affect the NVC. Since this has not happen before (that I know of), there is really no way to know how long it will take.

Note that the processing might not be affected at all, this is all just speculation.

VJers recommend to start calling/e-mailing the NVC on the one month mark from your NOA2, so I will probably do that...

All you have to do now is wait for the case number from NVC. USCIS will send another update that they have send the approved petition to NVC. Once you have the MNL number, pay for the $240 (Philippine peso equivalent) fee at a BPI bank in the Philippines. Within 4 hours of payment you or your fiancee can schedule online for the interview. She can also start her medical at St Lukes once she have a confirmed interview date and fillout the DS160 form. Congrats Sidney!! Looks like November has been a good month for us. I was approved in 21 days!! Unfortunately, the air has been taking out of the sails as its been 3 weeks and no sign of NVC having received my approved petition. So much for an early Christmas present :(

So, will I get a notice from USCIS stating they have sent my approved petition to NVC? Every time I call, the NVC seems to be bothered that I'm checking up on the status. Did USCIS use the pony express to deliver my approved petition or what? My guess is, its sitting in a que at either USCIS or the NVC.

In the meantime, perhaps my fiancé can move forward with completing applications etc for Package 3 to hopefully speed up Package 4. Is this possible?

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

:D! I won't star calling until a month go by, since that's what I've see it has been taking. I haven't even started on Packet 3. xD! I was checking out I-134 form and I notice it expires the last day of this year, and since our interview will mostlikely be next year... I was a bit reluctant to fill it.

Anyway :P I hope it happens fast!
