So i filed my I 130 for my Pakistani husband back in April. So far i have only received acceptance and NOA1. Why is this taking so long?

I miss my husband terribly and want to know if there is anything else i should be doing?

Believe it or not, 7 months is no longer abnormal for an I-130 petition. I-130 petitions are severely backlogged nowadays and Are currently taking 6 - 12 months to adjudicate.

Which service center has your petition?

yang .. do you know currently they are working on april fillers..they are transfering i 130 petitions to other offices for quick process ..so maryamwesseem you should contact with your congressman in your town or any senetor..i hope they could help you to get the fast approval for your i 130.. good luck :)

Well I submitted to Chicago lockbox. I think it's Vermont, not 100% sure. My husband knows more than me, as I have been working so many hours to meet income requirments to show financial support ability. I joined this site for support as none of my family or friends understands what i am going through. I am thinking to return to Pakistan for few weeks as i am lonely without husband:(

Is there anything else to do but wait?

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

They've recently started transferring the April filers. Are you sure yours went to Vermont? Anyway, keep checking your case status you'll hopefully be transferred soon inshaAllah and accepted too :)

NOA 2 - 31st January 2014

NVC Received - 12th February 2014

Case number, IIN, BIN Received - 21st March 2014

DS-261 Submitted - 23rd March 2014

AOS Bill Paid - 27th March 2014

E-mailed NVC to Change the Consulate of Beneficiary - 31st March 2014

IV Bill Paid - 5th April 2014

AOS Package Submitted - 7th April 2014

DS - 260 Available - 8th April 2014

So I can totally understand you, but the only thing that gives us strength is knowing that God will make a way. One day we will wake up from this night mare. The distance proved to be too much. Me and my husband left each other today.
