Our case was also transferred to another office. Two weeks later they sent us notice that we need to send some documents. The change of office is to expedite the case. I hope my answer will help you.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

Oh, and make sure you add your info to this googledocs doccument so we can keep a record of the transfers...

I am a jan.22nd filer my case was transferred to the Atlanta office

in February. someone told you that it means your case was transferred

for expedite that's not true. All it means is it's being transferred to your

local USCIS office. They will re file your case in there filing room and there

it will sit waiting to be assigned to an officer. I know this because I had to

go to 2 info passes before my file was approved in November. My 1-130

for my wife took 9 and a half months before it was approved by the USCIS.

You can go to the USCIS website and on the left of the page click info pass

then select English and then it will ask you for your zip code when you put

it in it will tell you where your papers were transferred.

Matt,

USCIS announced a workload shift a while ago.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/461346-workload-transfers-nbc-service-centers/

Do go through the thread posted above by fania.

In short- your file is being transferred to a service center. Not local office. They just send out incorrect messages (2-3, then a hard copy with a correct location of transfer).

Good luck!

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, no one can ever tear them apart.

The immigration officer I talked to at the Atlanta office said the National Benefit center had

to transfer a lot of petitions because they were just overloaded. He said if my file hadn't gotten

transferred it would have at least been 2 years before I would have been approved. You are

just 6 months into the process at least wait 2 to 3 more months and then make an info pass

and go to your local USCIS office. You can also call the USCIS 800 number on your NOA1

and ask to speak to a tier 2 officer they can help. The 1st person who answers the phone is

just customer service. Also call your congressman's office or write they can inquire for you

and find out if it's at your local office.
