No, a petition was filed, the petition was approved.

Study the K-1 flowchart in the GUIDES section here at VJ. You just passed step 4 of 23.

What you've been approved for is the right to APPLY for a visa. Now you have all the fun* stuff to look forward to biggrin.png

*"Fun" being a completely relative term. I'd personally prefer putting a campfire out with my face as opposed to the waves of paperwork involved, but hey! Each to their own!

I have looked at the flowchart, and step 4 NOA2 says that it should be 5 months processing time, All I'm asking is it possible to get the NOA2 within a month Not if its complete.

If you read through the forums, you'll see a lot of us have been approved in record time. My approval for the petition came within two months <3

It is possible. Just lately there have been some quite quick turnarounds. It's been slow to get a case number though. Congrats on getting the NOA2 dancin5hr.gif

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thank you, we plan now to start gathering up the thing we need following the flow chart my partner will be filling out the I-134 Affidavit of Support form.
I did not know of this forum and had simply been following the steps, so this part of the site may come in very useful

A month seems to be the norm these days. For the first half of this year, the norm was several months. However, the NVC process (the next step) used to only take a few days, and now it takes a couple of months. Go figure.
