I know I'm just being paranoid but I'm scared that SRs could actually hurt us... Cuz they always say 60 days.. What if that buys them 60 days? When normally we'd be done faster? You know what I mean?

It's prob not this way... I'm just over thinking now. :/

No it wont, my husband put in a service request last week and we got approved today.

the service request I think will let them at least look at your case and possibly approval when they do.

I've put in 3 SRs in the last month. It better freaking work soon. 6 months and one week so far..

They've said an officer is assigned to my case and background checks were put in for three weeks now. The beneficiary is from low risk Australia!!! :((((( I'm losing hope.

Congrats on the recent approvals!

And I'm hopeful the SRs for Cathymac and thedude will move their cases along.

We are definitely seeing the activity picking up now. And maybe the SRs will prompt the VSC to wake up!!

Why am I being denied SRs each time? I called two times last week and each time was told that I am outside of normal processing times BUT still cannot put in a SR because NSC was only working on Nov 5th applications. Just tried an e-request and got a message that I am "within normal processing times".

I see other people with PDs after mine putting in SRs. Why can't I?! :ranting:

I tried the e-request link that was posted earlier a few minutes ago and got the same response as u. Good thing I spoke to a wonderful Tier 2 rep that put one in for me this morning. I guess its chance... Keep calling, I was calling every other day! Dont give up stay encouraged and believe it will happen soon!

I'm going to try e-requests all the rest of this week. I tried again today, but still says "within normal processing times".

Our PD was November 18th, at TSC. (who sped up for a while, then went into a coma)

I'm really struggling with and second guessing all my decisions to leave Canada, even after doing long distance for so long.

Fingers and toes crossed approval is soon.

Got an email this morning from USCIS for an RFE on our case. Which is extremely heartbreaking, since I sent them everything plus more regarding our case. I don't even know what more could they want. I basically left my entire life and lived in another country for 4 months just to make sure I got everything to bring my husband over. Now they need more?

I've been waiting so long for this?

Can I call to find out - or do I have to wait on this letter?

I can totally empathize with the feeling you have, plus I had the head scratcher of wondering how it could happen when I paid a lawyer a metric ####### ton of money to avoid this very thing. We received our RFE on May 7 and today they sent me an email that they received the response on May 19. I figure that at best it's a wasted 2 weeks of our lives, but then again they could make us sit around for who knows how long while the response collects dust. I really am sorry you got this news rather than what we all want here. I wouldn't wish this torture on anyone (except our elected officials).
