Hi everyone,

My case went over 6 months yesterday, so I decided to submit an e-request and this is what I got this morning.

"Our records show that your Form I-751 is currently pending adjudication. We regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date at this time. We apologize for the delay."

Pretty fast reply but not quite what I expected!

Just received a notification indicating Card Production Ordered. A bit surprised if I'm honest - I expected to wait at least another month, but I'm not going to complain. I'm quite happy because we were getting ready to move, and was not looking forward to have to deal with a change of address and potential RFE.

If nothing else, it means that VSC is slowly but surely getting through its case load. Good luck to those still waiting, and I'll keep checking in here to see how things go.

My wife's case went over 6 months today (just one day behind yours), and we submitted an e-request this morning. So I expect to get the same reply as you did.

We also contacted our congressman's office.

Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

It looks like VSC is not very structured or better USCIS in general. Just my point of view.

How can one service center be already almost done with January and in addition taking over VSC cases and VSC is not getting it together???!!!

Sorry had to vent!

My wife's case went over 6 months today (just one day behind yours), and we submitted an e-request this morning. So I expect to get the same reply as you did.

We also contacted our congressman's office.

Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

I think part of the reason VSC is getting backlogged is that they are also responsible for H-1B petitions, all of which get filed at the same time in April. Remember how last year, around August-September, VSC was actually faster than CSC in getting these cases done? It looks extremely variable.

Honestly I think they should just have CSC handle all I-751 cases, and have everyone mail them there instead. None of this case transfer business which only slows things down. It does seem like CSC is more than capable of handling the entire load or close to it.
