Hello all,

Can you tell me what kind of information both I and my cosponsor will need to provide for the I-134 Affidavit of Support?

I am currently not employed, but will I need to provide tax returns and/or banking statements?

Will my cosponsor need to provide tax returns and/or banking statements and/or a statement from employer as listed in the instructions for the I-134?

Thank you for any information!!

Yes, you both need to provide supporting documents of your taxes and/or current income situation.

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

They are not asking about the beneficiary/foreign fiance(e)'s income. They are asking about a co-sponsor being used because the USC petitioner does not meet the income requirement. The beneficiary's income, or lack of income, has nothing to do with the affidavit of support.

OP> You both fill out an I-134 and provide supporting evidence: most recent tax transcript, letter from employer and/or most recent pay stubs. The co-sponsor should also provide proof of being a USC or LPR in case it is asked for.
