My account wouldn't allow me to pay for my MRV Fee, it only allowed me to pay for courier. I then called the call center number from n the https://ais.usvisa-info.com site and they told me to make a new account. My new account allowed me to pay the MRV Fee but now I've paid for both under different accounts.

My interview is on Friday, will my passport be delivered to me?

That would get better response in the UK forum where others who made the same mistake of not choosing pay before scheduling courier hang out. It's poorly designed software. Make the wrong turn and it's not forgiving.

Alright...

Nich-Nick, what you are saying is that we need to pay MRV first, and then courier, is that correct?

Thank you.

Nich-Nick, what you are saying is that we need to pay MRV first, and then courier, is that correct?

Thank you.

The directions from London are --

The fee is paid by following these simple steps:

1. Visit http://dld.bz/ivbook and select Apply for a K Visa

2. Sign up for a user account

3. Select Add Applicant to provide information about yourself. Repeat this step for each person who will apply for a K visa with you.

4. Choose where you want your documents to be sent if your application is successful. Delivery to a regional center in the UK will not incur additional costs.

5. Pay the MRV fee of $240.00. Payment must be made by MasterCard or Visa debit card. Once you have paid the fee, you can request home delivery from the courier for a fee of $30 per applicant. If you wish to select home delivery, you can do so by returning to your profile once you have paid the fee. Please note that you can only select Home Delivery up until the day before your interview.

6. Confirm your facility (select U.S. Embassy London).

7. Please DO NOT submit any documents ahead of your interview. You should present all documents at the time of your appointment.

It seems a lot of people do not go in the K1 door (Step 1) and follow the above order. They say they schedule the courier home delivery, then can't pay the fee. Step 5 says pay first, then go back to arrange home delivery. Those that follow the steps say it works for them. Those that did delivery first have to start over with a new email address because there is no way to get back to PAY once the home delivery part is done. I haven't done it myself, just summarizing the experiences from the UK forum.

I think the weird thing about how the software works is K1s choose a depot for delivery (closest one) then pay visa fee, then go back and modify to a home delivery if they don't want to collect at a depot for free. It seems very clumsy.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the UK regional subforum -- country-specific issue. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

it is clumsy, if you get to a page where it offers a choice of Non immigrant or immigrant chose Immigrant, otherwise you will end up in the wrong place.

It only lets you choose home delivery after you have paid the MRV fee.

This thread is five years old and was created when the payment had newly shifted to online from calling it in and speaking to a person to give a credit card number. The procedure has evolved in that time so may not be the same technical experience in 2018.
