My fiancé's visa was approved today. I feel so relieved and happy. Thank you all VJ members for your advise throughout this first part of the journey. Your advice and quick answers to all my questions are always so valuable to me. My fiancé and I are so grateful to each and everyone one of you and it's our prayers that the Good Lord who has answered our prayers answers all of your prayers as well.

Here's a summary of some of the interview questions asked (I am the petitioner)

- How did we meet

- How long I have lived in my current address

- Where he bought the engagement ring (We included a receipt of the ring. This receipt has the name of the jewelry store in Ghana, its contact information and phone number of the salesperson on it).

- Describe the ring (This particular question seemed so strange for me because the ring was kind of a different and not so common design, so I was kind of thinking they might have called the jewelry store)

- The CO pointed out some of the people in our pictures and asked my fiancé for their names

- Do we planned to have kids (Yes because I have a child but my fiancé does not)

- When we planned to have kids

- How long have I lived in USA

- Where is my ex-husband

- Why I got divorced

- What is his profession in Ghana

- Where he lectures (his profession)

- Why he's never been married before

- Which university I went for my first degree (Ghana)

- Which University I went for my masters degree (USA)

- What is my profession and position at my current job

- What are our phone numbers (while the CO flips through our phone records),even though we had highlighted our phone numbers

- Do I have a child

- What is my child's name and age (10years)

- The CO was observed taking a thorough look at the printed screenshots of pictures on our Facebook pages and all the comments by our friends and was smiling at those comments.

The CO was then like, OK, come on Friday to pick up the visa and not to make any travel arrangements till he has the visa in hand.

The actual interview process, according to my fiancé took about 15mins. He was allowed into the embassy at 7am and was out by 8:40am
