Hello!

I was able to track our petition package on the DHL website when the NVC said they sent it out. I think it just arrive at the Embassy in Lima, Peru today!

Our NOA2 was September 30th. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can see the interview statistics or interviews available of an Embassy so I can guestimate when my fiance will be setting up an interview appointment? Or if anyone knows generally how long the interview is from the NOA2?

I'm hoping it's January so I can have new vacation time from my job and I can go with him, but our approval expires January 29.

Thank you!

I don't know what the norm is, but ours took a while. We had a NOA2 of July 18th and the embassy didn't receive our case until Sept 9th. I doubt it'll take that long for yours. Check the CEAC website at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx? for your case status and when it says ready you can call, actually emailing the embassy is easier I think, and find out your interview date.

Thank you! it looks like Peru is working a month at a time. November is currently full but December is still open.

Cristi I'm also awaiting an interview date and my fiance and mine paperwork arrived in lime also the 25th. Any new word that you know of? I check the ceac website many times a day and it still says "ready" but no sight of the interview date or packet. Anyone know what's gonna be required in the packet?

Sorry for the delayed response.

If it your case is ready, I encourage you to email them at LimaIV@state.gov.

  • For Status Inquiries for Immigrant Visa (including Fiancée) Cases:
    • The subject line must contain "IV Inquiry," the case number (with prefix of LMA), and the applicant's last name.
    • The first paragraph must include the full names of the petitioner and the applicant, the type of visa, and your contact information.

Found at the bottom of the website here http://lima.usembassy.gov/contact_us2.html

Set up your email that way so they can get you your information as quickly as possible. They should have already assigned you your interview date. Probably it's very soon. The packet is probably taking a while to get to your fiance by mail so you should email so you can get your interview date ASAP so you can prepare.

For me they emailed me my interview letter and a checklist of things the peruvian fiance will need to prepare. Our case was ready on October 28 and we got an interview date of December 2nd. We chose to postpone it though.

If while you wait for the embassy to reply, I can email you the checklist they sent me and the Peruvian doctors' information for the medical exam. Shoot me a message!
