October 23, 2013 7:30Am I had my interview at the US Embassy for my K1 Fiancee Visa and I am actually sick that day. lol! We woke up at around 3AM in the morning. Got ready, ate breakfast. We walked to the US Embassy at around 5am since we were just walking distance away from the USEM. We stayed In Hostellery hotel anyway. There were many people who were also waiting to get inside the embassy. Long line already so we went there and fell in line. I wasn’t surprised to see many people selling ballpens, telling you to leave your usb, other electronic gadgets and buggering you. They actually try to scare you by saying, “Do you have this or that?” then you double think to see if you do have it. Lol and made me soo annoyed cause im not really feeling well! Lol.. Well, things the you shouldn't bring to the interview, Any kind of Electronic gadget ( IPODS, CAMERA,CELLPHONE, CALCULATOR, USB) etc. and Any kind of perfume bottled or non bottled spray or anything that contains liquid. Better leave all of them in your house or in the hotel.. Just bring all your papers needed for Interview so less stress, less time spent.. no worries. As I looked them, there are about 3 lines.. 1 for immigrants, 1 for non immigrants, and there was another one long line for seafarers but im not sure.. I wondered, how many of us are going to get what we came here for. How many will come out of this place with a big smile and faces lift up or how many will have that look sheer terror because they were denied of their hopes and dreams that they have been longing for.. I prayed so hard while im looking all the people around me and i just leave it to god! At 6Am the security guards will call all the applicants to assist them where they should fall in line. Prepare your appointment letter, Ds forms (DS 156, DS 156K, DS157) or better use the DS160 which is much easy to use, Passport then submit it to the lady for checking. After the long line outside the embassy, You will go through the xray machine to get inside the embassy. remember, no electronic gadgets allowed. The staff member will assist you to fall inline at the boot then submit your appointment letter and DS Forms and passport, The attendant will give you the number that will be appearing later on to the electronic board. then I walked inside the embassy towards the interviewing section for immigrants. After giving you the number the staff wearing In blue shirt will assist you or ask you to drop it in window 39 I like the number i got cause it was a lucky number for me lol and they will tell you to sit down and wait.

Now, the waiting time begins!

Anyway, Be aware of your number on the queue board or electronic board. I Waited for my number 6105 to be flashed for my initial interview. It felt like the longest wait i had in my life hahahha! Finally, my number was flashed. 6105 to Window 42. He is a American consul, and the old filipino man was not yet finished bcause the american consul chatting to filipino personnel.. So, I just stood behind the old filipino man a few meters away and waited for my turn since my number flashed in the queue board and helped the old man cause he don't know what to do for finger printing and the american consul smiled at me. Lol! and then its my turn, I greeted him Goodmorning and smiled at him. He asked my full name and birthdate. then, I went back to the waiting area. Waited for my number again. After 30minutes, my number was flashed 6105 to window 55. First interview was with a filipino personnel. I greeted him good morning and of course my big smile. He kept joking at me and told me maybe im so sweet cause he said he looked my pictures with my fiance and i just laughed at him, were just chatting and laughing cause he was asking me "how many boyfriends have you had? and why i chose my American fiance. lol! He is so cool!! then he asked for some of my documents:

-NBI

-Affidavit of support

-Latest W2

-Latest 1040

-Bpi receipt

-Cenomar

-Nso Birth Certificate

This is a preliminary interview by a Filipino personnel asked me:

What is your name?

What is your petitioner’s name?

Where does he live?

Where does he work?

After the cool interview, I was asked to take a seat again and to wait for my number to be flashed again. I waited.... Talked to my friends and with some of the applicants there. There were a few women that I met there who were also a K1 visa and some of them are member of our fb groups for k1 fiancee hahahah! Many k1 fiancee women recognized me and they say Hi Vera! And i was like, huh? Do i know you? Lol.. Sorry i just didnt remember all your faces but it was so very nice to meet y'all..

Oh yayy! It seemed like forever as I sat and waited for my number AGAIN….it’s like waiting for my capital punishment! I couldn’t remember how many times I inhaled and exhaled heavily and i was just watching the Tv (Its cartoon movie lol) while waiting and my eyes were focused on quening board, Im sleepy and hungry that time. haha!

Finally, After 1 and half hour, number 6105 to window 64. My K1 friends wished me good luck. As I walked towards the window, I was already praying in my spirit. I got near the window and wearing my big smile well, that’s one tip that my friends told me, always smile no matter what! He is young American consul and blue eyes. then the consular officer asked me to raise your right hand and read the long statement you see written in a short bond paper near the side of the window lol! it was only swear that your information that you are about to give is true. then he said, wow! your so good! Hmm.. I smiled and i said on my mind, hmm 1 point! Lol! Then he gave me the paper about Information on the legal rights about Immigrants victims of domestic violence and he explained it to me.. After a few minutes, he started the grilling. lol.. He asked:

-What is your name?

-What is your fiance’s name?

-Birthday?

-Do you have kids?

Previous marriages? (All no smile.png

-Where your petitioner live?

-Where, when and How did you meet?

-How many time he visited you?

-When did you decide to marry him?

-What's the wedding plan?

-Is he divorced?

-Why he gets divorced?

-Ex wife name?

-How many children?

-How old are his child?

-Are you ready to be his step mom?

-Do you want babies soon?

-What his work? Where?

How long has he been working there?

-So he just turned 30 and you are 23, What if he had an affair with somebody else and married to you, what would you do?

-Do you like his tatoos? What tattoo is these (He looked our pictures together In my I-129 packet) "Well, its my fiance Military Pride Tattoos Sir" then he gave me back our pictures and he said to just keep It. Lol!

-Do you understand that you need to get married within 90 days upon entry in the US? -Asked our chatlogs, and he read them lol!

-Asked our engagement photos, my scrap book and I explained to him every page.

Ahh, after killing me with all his questions and more questions about my fiance, It was just actually like im telling him my love story with all of that questions and were smiling and im laughing.. He said, "okay that's all, your papers are complete, no problems i have nothing to ask" and then he told me to sit back again and wait my number to be called again.. and I asked him, So it means, I am approved sir? Hmm.. he looked at me and he gave me big smile and he said "I know you miss your fiance, you are so sweet.. "YES, Congratulations! Welcome to America". I was so shocked and teary eyed! and i thank him many times and i told him our dream came true and thank him again, told him have a nice day and he said "have a nice day to you too and welcome with his smile"

So i left and walked with my smile in my face and people were looking at me.. lol! I talked to my friends and waited my number again.. And after 20mins, Its flashed again.. 6105 to window 68.. Filipino consul looking my case in the computer and he said, "Your interview went so good and you have a complete documents. Pick up in SM bicutan right? or delivery? and i said, Pick up sir.. So he asked my email address and number, i was told to check my email and wait the 2go text for pick up then he said "okay, you may go home now" so me, i asked him again, Am i really approved sir? hahahaha!! he laughed at me and told me "don't annoy me or i will not issue your Visa and we laughed together lol! I said, No sir, Ill just wait for my Visa. Im going home now, have a nice day. Thank you!! Lol..

Finally, my K1 Fiancee Journey done! Thank you God!! It was a very very nice happy experience In USEM for me!! They are so very nice. Just be yourself and everything will be fine and smooth!! Its a case to case basis when it comes to Consul Officer. Convince them that you have a genuine relationship with your fiance, straight look into their eyes, be honest no matter what and wear your beautiful smile and they will see you very inlove to your man.. Goodluck to all of you guys.. Godbless!! I hope this helped you with your own journey as well. Im so sorry to all the people that messaged me if i didnt reply you. I am sick and just want to rest. I will reply you all soon. But anyway, feel free to ask me any questions, or share your experience as well! Goodluck to all of you! Break a leg!!
