Guys,

Need ideas as for G-325a form questions:

- File number A - (if this is first time submitting the form i guess it is left blank?)

- All other names used (include names from previous marriages) - if no other names or marriages, it´s better state None or keep it blank?

- Applicants last address outside the USA (it says from - to) - should be stated with the month the application is signed or keep it blank? (as far as it does not permit to put "present")

- Alien registration number - again if no number should be blank or state as none?

these questions are asked as far as sample of the G-325a on vj web is dated 06-12-09, so i have some doubts if to leave blank spaces (as is stated in the instruction to I-129F, as far as there is NO instruction to the G-325a....i assume that all documents should be filled according to the demands of the main form that is filed.)

thanks a lot for answers!!!

This is just what my fiance and I were done for our I-129F. But some other VJers may add them as well. Each applicants may vary how they filled out the form. Good luck.

Guys,

Need ideas as for G-325a form questions:

- File number A - (if this is first time submitting the form i guess it is left blank?) Blank

- All other names used (include names from previous marriages) - if no other names or marriages, it´s better state None or keep it blank? Blank

- Applicants last address outside the USA (it says from - to) - should be stated with the month the application is signed or keep it blank? (as far as it does not permit to put "present") We left it blank. My fiance says it referring to petitioner who is USC since petitioner and beneficiary filled out the same form, G-325A.

- Alien registration number - again if no number should be blank or state as none? Blank

these questions are asked as far as sample of the G-325a on vj web is dated 06-12-09, so i have some doubts if to leave blank spaces (as is stated in the instruction to I-129F, as far as there is NO instruction to the G-325a....i assume that all documents should be filled according to the demands of the main form that is filed.)

My fiance and I left blank for my G-325A. My fiance, who is the petitioner, told me it's referring only for USC and he put his on there.

i also left those things blank and agree with you! plus on my opinion USCIS should provide at least small instuction as for G-325a form, cos some items are unclear as the one about adress abroad (i mean what is left is to guess if it´s for petitioner or beneficiary or both devil.gif ) but the most important is not to be paranoid about all those forms laughing.gif

I agree. It cause a bit confusion. If you looked up guide on VJ, they put adress outside of US for beneficiary as same as the recent one of adress of the las five years applicant which is a bit contradicted since one of boxes is not allow you to put - to present-

My fiance and I learned those forms for months and did a bit simulation by sent to each others forms. We did discuss alot to determine the answers. We were quite lucky and got approval of our I-129F in 38 days without any RFE.

Yes, don't be paranoid and one important key is patiently waiting. Also, spent time together with your fiance, friends, or family and stop looking who's got approval on VJ. It drives you crazy, dead.gif . I never expected got approval that fast but I am thankful that we did good for I-129F. I hope your I-129F will going smooth as well. Good luck!goofy.gif

Totally agree with you about spending time with family, friends and keeping oneself busy yes.gif and i guess people who apply, need to start practicing meditation biggrin.png to distract themselves from discussions, that i believe appear in all couples while applying for I-129F.

P.S. I hope new version of G-325A will soon appear on VJ, so as a small instruction to it, for people who will apply in future.

I'd appreciate some help with this form. Here goes.

1. Must I (petitioner) and she both fill out a G-325A or only she?

2. I'm filling out this form after marriage. Family name should be the name she took on at marriage, i.e. my surname--correct?

4. File Number A. I've read others say to leave it blank, please confirm.

5. Applicant's residence, last five years. Above someone says they left it blank but I'm not sure why. Any advice?

6. Name and address of employer. She has not worked, should I write "student" or leave this blank too?

Also, do we need to choose "other" and put I-129F, since we are K1? I find this confusing. She is here already, so shouldn't we be applying for "permanent resident"?

It was easier waiting for P3. haha

1. Must I (petitioner) and she both fill out a G-325A or only she? You both need to fill out separate G-325A's.
2. I'm filling out this form after marriage. Family name should be the name she took on at marriage, i.e. my surname--correct?
You mean you are married already? Sorry the "filling this after marriage" confuses me since your timelines says you are filing for K1 visa.
4. File Number A. I've read others say to leave it blank, please confirm. - Leave it blank
5. Applicant's residence, last five years. Above someone says they left it blank but I'm not sure why. Any advice? They left it blank because it's Applicant's Address outside US in the last 5 years. The beneficiary in their case never resided outside her country.
6. Name and address of employer. She has not worked, should I write "student" or leave this blank too? Put unemployed and still put the years she was unemployed.
Also, do we need to choose "other" and put I-129F, since we are K1? I find this confusing. She is here already, so shouldn't we be applying for "permanent resident"?
Mark X on others, and write I-129F. You apply for permanent resident after adjusting her status AFTER marriage.

1. Must I (petitioner) and she both fill out a G-325A or only she? - BOTH of you make sure u date and sign!!!!
2. I'm filling out this form after marriage. Family name should be the name she took on at marriage, i.e. my surname--correct? - ARE U SURE U ARE FILLING FOR K-1 FIANCCE visa? Cos if you already OFFICIALY got married in another than USA country you file for SPOUSE VISA. Please check this issue.
4. File Number A. I've read others say to leave it blank, please confirm. - The A-number (Alien Registration number) is assigned after the FIANCE petition is recieved and start to be processed by USCIS...so u leave it blank.
5. Applicant's residence, last five years. Above someone says they left it blank but I'm not sure why. Any advice? - I was putting my adress for the last 5 years that was the same during all this time (cos i was not moving anywhere) my fiancee had to put all places he was living in for the last five years.
6. Name and address of employer. She has not worked, should I write "student" or leave this blank too? - If she IS a student u put student and indicate all info they ask for in the form, if she IS unemployed you put UNEMPLOYED.
Also, do we need to choose "other" and put I-129F, since we are K1? I find this confusing. She is here already, so shouldn't we be applying for "permanent resident"? - Again if u are sure u apply for K-1 fiancee visa you put "Other" and put near it I-129F.
It was easier waiting for P3. haha

Good luck!

Guys,

Need ideas as for G-325a form questions:

- File number A - (if this is first time submitting the form i guess it is left blank?) You can write NONE, or leave it blank

- All other names used (include names from previous marriages) - if no other names or marriages, it´s better state None or keep it blank? You can write NONE, or leave it blank

- Applicants last address outside the USA (it says from - to) - should be stated with the month the application is signed or keep it blank? (as far as it does not permit to put "present") In the "to" spot, just put the month you are dating the form.

- Alien registration number - again if no number should be blank or state as none? You can write NONE, or leave it blank

these questions are asked as far as sample of the G-325a on vj web is dated 06-12-09, so i have some doubts if to leave blank spaces (as is stated in the instruction to I-129F, as far as there is NO instruction to the G-325a....i assume that all documents should be filled according to the demands of the main form that is filed.)

thanks a lot for answers!!!

I'd appreciate some help with this form. Here goes.
1. Must I (petitioner) and she both fill out a G-325A or only she? Both petitioner and beneficiary need to fill out and submit a G-325A form.
2. I'm filling out this form after marriage. Family name should be the name she took on at marriage, i.e. my surname--correct? Family name is your current surname. Your maiden name will be in the space for "all other names used".
4. File Number A. I've read others say to leave it blank, please confirm. You can write NONE, or leave it blank.
5. Applicant's residence, last five years. Above someone says they left it blank but I'm not sure why. Any advice? You write where you have lived the last 5 years.
6. Name and address of employer. She has not worked, should I write "student" or leave this blank too? Write UNEMPLOYED for all time periods in which you have not worked.
Also, do we need to choose "other" and put I-129F, since we are K1? I find this confusing. She is here already, so shouldn't we be applying for "permanent resident"? If the G-325A form is filed with the I-129F, you choose "other" and write "I-129F". If you are sending this form with an I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status), you need to choose "Permanent Resident".
It was easier waiting for P3. haha

Hope this helps.

My fiance and I left blank for my G-325A. My fiance, who is the petitioner, told me it's referring only for USC and he put his on there.

If it is the USC's G325A, then they can leave it blank or put 'None' if they never resided outside the US. If it is the beneficiary's G325A, then they simply list their most recent, present address again, or could even put 'Same as above'. If this is for AOS, then you should not post in someone's thread asking about the I-129F, since it is not the same process. You should ask in your own topic in the AOS forum to get the accurate answers you need.

For AOS, only the foreign spouse that is applying to adjust status needs the G325A.

If you will be using your married name from now on, then you put the married name on all AOS forms.

A# is near the beneficiary's name on the I-129F approval notice (NOA2). You do not put 'None' for the A# when filing for AOS, since you do in fact have an A#.

You list your residence for the last 5 years, and the difference now with this new G325A is that your present address is now in the US with your new spouse.

Unemployed.

You check 'Status as Permanent Resident. See the example form for filing for AOS > http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-G-325A-aos.pdf
