Or my case hasn't reached its destination office??? OMG..anyone please respond and help me calm down :(

It was not transferred there, most likely not. Call and speak to a Tier II rep. First you get Tier I, they read from a screen. Ask for an escalation to Tier II. Ask nicely and the Tier II rep can look it up in the system where you were transferred to. It will probably take about a week for the case to actually make it to your destination service center. 1.800.375.5283

Stay calm and carry on.

You don't really have to change your name. Besides, why can't you ask your souse to courier those documents to you?

Sure I can ask my spouse to send the documents to me. If he sends them by mail we risk them being lost or the 1 and 1/2 month wait it takes for registered mail. Perhaps the only solution will be to pay DHL to have them shipped, I guess I should get started on them soon. So it doesn't really matter if I used my married name on our I130? I did list my name as other names used. I'm just having a mental pause or a mental freak out.

NBC (National Benefits Center) is in Lee Summit, MO and Overland Park, KS. For some strange reason, they use two different addresses. Your case has just been transferred from NBC to one of the service centers (California, Texas, Vermont, or Nebraska).

You'll need to talk to a tier 2 agent in order to find out which service center your case has been transferred to. Unfortunately, they may put you on hold for a long time. If you don't have the time (or you are at work), you may want to wait for the letter from USCIS. If you're in the U.S., you should receive it in 3-5 days.

It says you have to submit original or certified copies.

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/documents-to-submit-to-nvc.html

I don't know exactly what a certified copy is, but I will find out as well because that seems like a safer option. I don't care about submitting originals any of the documents, but I would be wary of sending our marriage certificate or my husband's birth certificate. I am very surprised they would ask for originals. How do you get your originals back if you submit those?

When we obtained my husband's old green card 10 years ago we applied through the embassy in Cairo (no longer possible) and we didn't have to go through the NVC. I have to figure this out too.

So read this post and in mentions in post number 6:

"Yep. send originals. Don't send notarized copies. they don't accept notarized copies. NVC only accepts Original document OR "Certified Copy" of the document. "Certified Copy" here means that the copy has to be from "Issuing Authority". So, for example, if you want "certified copy" of your birth certificate. Go to the authority who issued your original birth certificate and request them to provide certified copy. "

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/128419-how-many-of-you-have-sent-original-documents-to-nvc/

Looks like you would go to the place that issues the documents and have them issue you an additional copy.

I probably got transferred to NSC too since someone who got transferred on the same day just called USCIS and found out that their application were transferred to NSC. Neveraska! Arrrggghhh! I'll find out when I receive the letter in the mail.

However, I was browsing the Sept forum and saw the first approval from NSC! NSC might be speeding up. Fingers crossed. I hope there is a reason why USCIS is transferring Sept and Oct applications to NSC. Perhaps it's because they're getting ready to process lots of cases like there is no tomorrow? I hope they aren't transferring applications to NSC because they feel like doing it or just for fun! LOL
