Hello,

I met my man online and fell in love. Long story short I flew to him and stayed with him for a month and yes the love we were feeling online is very much real; we would like to get married and want to do it proper. I am Canadian and he is American and I am looking to relocate to the US from CAN. I look to you fine folks on advice and opinions as we have just decided to get married and I have been researching the K1...cringes in fear. My fiance is not a rich man, nor am I. I am worried about income requirements and well everything.

Please help! Also we are waiting on confirmation if our little mircacle baby is on the way..this will be a wonderful blessing neither one of us anticipated and will be over the moon. I have a 16yr old from previous relationship and he has 2 kids 16, and 18. We both have full legal custody.

Any thoughts and advice would be greatly apprieciated! I know you vets have answered the same questions over and over but I am new to this and would love to hear from your experiences :)

The financials are not needed until later when you would have the K-1 interview. You can follow the guide here for what is required with the I-129F petition > http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

If you are bringing your daughter with you, and he has 2 kids as well, then he will need 125% of the poverty level for a household of 5. See the amounts here > http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf
