Ive been trying all day today I thought they changed it so when you called you could get a operator instead. But instead of that after the wait time is up you do get the automated system. I tried calling the department of state since usually interviews are all scheduled by the 7th of the month. But they seem to be impossible to get ahold of. So I guess Ill just wait and pray for good news!

Hey,

I was having the same problem with the automated system. I tried again today at around 5:30 and what I did was press one for English and press 5 for an operator. If you try to input your case number etc. It just stops working.

I got through but it was a waste of time. I didn't get the news I was looking for. No news yet on an interview date yet =(

Good luck to the rest of u....

Just tried again myself. It is 6:55pm in Vietnam (5:55am CST) and it is still not working.

Perhaps they just don't want us calling anymore! :)

I did find a way to get through a operator but not my usual way. What I did is this called and waited until they said they transfered me to a operator. They didnt transfer me to an operator but it takes you to some of the automated system after you press one for english and it gives you your options press #5 for operator it seems to work. It took awhile to get them to get through and ring but it worked. Just incase someone was woundering how i got through. I usually get through at 9pm at night easily no wait time or anything.

I got through this morning, they didn't give me any options though but I was on hold for an operator the whole time. I just pressed 5 for fun and whooooooooaaaaaaaa, big shock when someone said " Hi my name is ... can I have your case number please" after half a second.

Wow, that's strange! My NOA2 was Mar 2, and they received my case on Mar 6! Sounds like they just didn't want to help you!

I had to wait awhile before someone answered the phone too, but it was a woman, and very polite. She asked me what my finacee's full name and date of birth was, verified my name, and then gave me my case number.

She did try to say it would take two to four weeks before they send it out, and to try back in two week; but, I've seen others sent in a week or less!
