Hi, thanks for checking back up on me. I think most Dec/Jan filers are done this process, but here I still am. Our case has been updated twice, but no status change yet sad.png

At least they are updating your case! Having no updates at all might be worse! I am hoping you get some good news soon. I can't believe he had to go all the way back to London because of what appears to be a mistake on their end! As if this process wasn't enough of a headache already...

So the only explanation we could think of was that they want to make sure he isn't just trying to get to the US any way he can. But if that were the case, why wouldn't they have just asked those questions in the interview?

I agree with you on this. I guess with 4 visas, two more denied, and going for the seventh, some extra questions were in order. Maybe they thought a behavioral psychologist could "crack" him if he had motives other than a real relationship. I hope he gave perfect answers to put aside their indecision at the embassy.

Really sorry what you're going through. Really sucks that you're made to suffer from a simple mistake their end. Hope it resolves itself soon, and I'm sure it will. It's interesting how Nich Nick said that when they have chit-chat with you that they're really analysing your behaviour. I never really thought of that at the time. I was just chatting away to the Knightsbridge doctor about all sorts of stuff and thought she was just being friendly, didn't think she was analysing my mood etc.

Me too!! I never thought of it that way either I was just chatting away and just thought the doctor was friendly .kind of make sense now as she noticed I was on edge straight away and I told her I had a fear of needles so wasn't looking forward to the blood test so I was nervous .she said she normally does the blood test last but she would get it out the way .I thought she was being nice but in reality she probably wanted to see if I'd act the same way after I'd got the dreaded blood test out the way .

So sorry you are going through this Anne really hope it gets sorted soon best of luck

I just got back from visiting my fiance in Scotland. We were hoping to get good news while I was there, but no such luck. My congressman's office contacted the Embassy to ask what was going on and the Embassy says they are still waiting on the report from the doctor. So we called the doctor and they said the report was picked up by an embassy courier on Oct. 31st. There was an update on the CEAC site on the 31st too, so I am pretty sure they received it. But what I don't understand is how the report can be delivered to the Embassy and weeks later they tell us they are still waiting for it. I hope my congressman's office can persuade them to look for it because this is nonsense. dry.png

I know you have been waiting an awfully long time on this. Can you e-mail the embassy again and ask them to please check, based on what the dr.'s office says? Best to you both.

Thanks for the well wishes. I have not contacted the Embassy myself, but my Congressman's Visa Liaison has been in contact with them on my behalf. The Embassy told her last week they were still waiting on the report. She replied that the report was delivered on the 31st and should actually already be at the Embassy. I have not heard any news from her this week and I am starting to get anxious. We were planning to get married next weekend, but obviously that is not happening. Now I just want him with me for Christmas, but unless we get approved soon that isn't going to happen either :(

I am not sure what the timeline and protocol is for the Embassy once they receive documents, but it is ridiculous that they have been sitting on it for 3 weeks without realizing it is there.

This seems to always happen. As soon as I start to feel desperate and that the next step is taking too long, something happens!

My congressman's office emailed me with the response from the Embassy. It says they have received the report and our case is with an officer for review. :) Not sure how long this part will take, but we are finally finally at the last step. Wish us luck x

Well its been about a month since we were told that our case is with an officer, and nothing has happened. My congressman's visa liaison is only contacting the embassy on a monthly basis now and this is the most recent message she received.

Embassy records show that your application remains under review. There is no set time that a review may take as it varies in each individual case. You will be notified once the review of his application is complete.

Not the Christmas miracle I was hoping for. Our case has been going for a year now. I have kinda given up on thinking/hoping it will be issued soon, and now I just pray that he will be here by our wedding date this summer.
