Just on my way back from interview

Hey guys

A few of you messaged me good luck and thank you for everyone's kind words.

Unfortunately we were Refused because of the condition of my passport. They said it looked like it had been tampered with. Also they were dubious as to whether my birth certificate was the original so they want a new one of those too .

Honestly I was nervous about my passport because its curling up round the edges so i should have erred on the side of caution and renewed it before I started this process. I have no one to blame but myself. The lady who interviewed me couldn't have been more pleasant about it

Rang mum she went in action-mode and I have a birth certificate landing on my doormat tomorrow morning from the birth certificate people (whoever they are) and a new passport will be in my hands this Thursday at 1pm.

The courier company will collect them from me and take them to the embassy.

It's okay. This is just a minor setback, you've got everything in motion to have this fixed ASAP. You'll get there.

That sucks, but as Ryan&Amy said, this is really just a little stutter in you getting your visa in hand. Not ideal, but entirely doable - and 'doing' you and your mum are

Just like I told you on Facebook - You're not in AP, don't worry about AP. Your form just says you need to send in additional documentation (birth certificate and passport). They wouldn't ask you for a new passport to be sent to them unless they were ready to issue your visa. Send them the documentation ASAP, give them a week or two, it'll go to "Issued" then you'll just be waiting for your delivery. Everyone's goes into AP for a little bit before going to "Issued".

Yea I showed Queen the blue form which said why it was refused today and it does state that its waiting documentation not that it in AP. Its showing AP on the website but that is just a regular part of the process

I called dos today and they told me my forms are logged but no interview date yet,I guess that's something though huh??

If you don't mind me asking what was it that made them not sure about your birth certificate? Was it because it wasn't the original copy .mine isn't my original but it's a official copy which people on here seem to think will be fine

It will be fine, I never got a full original when I was born so had to provide a certified copy, that was fine. stop worrying, its a doddle
