I think they are just spreading the load out, Mine went from Vermont to Texas in August. VJ has noticed this and sent out an email that they are modifing their timelines to add in being transfered, where to and the date. Good luck all, WE need it!

Good morning VJ members,

I am not sure if somebody received similar update, please share if you did.

This is status update from USCIS website:

Initial Review

On September 13, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

I have no idea what it means...Could it mean that it's transfered to Nebraska or Texas service center?

Thank you

They usually do that, to speed up the processing.

Goodluck and God bless!

earlier this year there were a lot of erroneous notifications about transfers when the load was being shifted.

it is quite possible that this is the beginning of notifications for a lot of people that will be totally confusing.

best guess is that these erroneous messages are to indicate the transfer to the new facility and not the local offices.

my best guess.. based on what the k1r's went through earlier this year

I received a similar notice dated 9/9 but got a text message on the 4th stating that my case had been transferred. I called USCIS and was told to read nothing into it, It was simply a redistribution of work load.

Hello guys,

So I filed I-130 for my wife on July 5th and received a notification (NOA1) on July 11th, after receiving NOA1 for I-130 I filed the I-129 F (K3 Visa) application (since I am USC) and received NOA1 for I-129 F on July 29th. My question here is that I filed my I-130 to Chicago Lock box and received NOA1 with "MSC" as starting number. Furthermore, I filed the I-129F with Dallas TX Lock box and received the NOA1 for I-129 F with receipt number started with MSC ??

I believe MSC is stands for Missouri Service center a.k.a National Benefit Center, but I never received any notification that my case was transferred.

Also, for I -129 F I received the following response on August 15 2013:

"On August 15, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance."

Can someone please guide me why I am treating differently and also why in the world my Alien Registration was changed?

Any thoughts or comments are highly appreciated.

that is a normal 129 notification.. often sent without any rhyme or reason

your files have not been merged yet

expect further confusing notifications

@ BOS_LHR, this transfer is for the F2A category, not IR1/CR1.

IR1/CR1 are processed at NBC Lee's Summit or Overland Park or local office, if the petition was transferred to the local office.

Correct. But this topic was posted in the permanent resident section, and F2A is for spouses and children of permanent residents, so the workload transfer notice for F2A is relevant.

Hey there,

My husband received the same e-mail last Thursday, actually two e-mails in the same day about our I-130 being transferred from the VSC to somewhere unknown yet. I am hoping it's not going to the actual New York city field office...I guess we'll both need to wait to get the hardcopy transfer notice to confirm where our petitions actually end up!

It could mean that they are sending them to the Overland Park, KS location for processing...as this location is supposed to be getting ready for a new division to process solely stand alone I-130 petitions, if they haven't already started.

Hey I think we are in the same boat I'm from Canada and my husband is in New York. Unless I'm reading this incorrectly. When were your papers sent??
