Hello,

I was wondering if any one has hired a lawyer in regards to administrative processing. I just spoke to one and he recommends cosultation and reviewing all documents to find a possible cause of AP.

My mother and father in law have been in AP for more than 6 months. If it is helpful, we are really interested in seeking professional help.

Thank You

An attorney cannot do anything about AP. Save your money.

Also, I already know the reason they are in AP. The reason is Pakistan.

Lawyer just wanna take you to town, its NOTHING

anyone can do (including senators) most depts. have

backed up work . AP all you can do is wait.

He'd make a nice change, taking your papers, have his

clerk eye-ball it and give you some cockamamie story,

please save your money

What about someone from Nigeria in AP for 120days. My wife with 4 kids here with me. She is the biological mother of three. I filed for all of them at the same time and they are telling me today by DOS they think those children are not hers because we get married after having 3 kids. What is the normal thing in America? How many web get married before having a child? Back to your question, sometimes attorney might be the last choice if needs be. Mostly when a case is refuse or sitting too Long at the consular. Sometimes the attorney need to review your case with USCIS officer and clarify some things they don't understand. Mind you not all field officers know the job just few

Of them.

AP is what it is, especially in certain countries;

people have been in AP 2 yrs, no lawyer can do anything,

no honest lawyer would say they can do something about.

The visa is a privilege and not a right...wait is all you can do

on USCIS....best wishes for a decision soon.

Sometimes people dont realize the more work attornies create the more they get paid. Only 4 professions exist that no one can live without and feel screwed after they deal with them 1. Dentist 2. Auto repair 3. Attorney and 4. Insurance.

Like others said, it's not worth it. I hired an immigration attorney because the embassy denied my petition and I got a NOIR. Thank god it was reaffirmed. Our case is in AP for more than 3 months now and my husband is Salvadoran. I never bothered to ask the attorney why our case is in AP because our case was moved to Florida (I live in Texas) and we can't even talk to the lawyer who have our case.

For those who wishes to see my timeline, I will fix it somewhere in the future.

as several have posted

an attorney will be of no use to help with AP.. nor will a congressional rep or anyone else... it is stuck until the embassy releases it

You will need a lawyer if you want to file a case against DOS. Did you call DOS and they told you that the case is with them ?
