I think you all should definately ask for tier 2s to get some answers

I never got to find out where my case was sent, according to USPS the card itself was shipped from Kentucky? I don't know whether that's just the general place they get made or something, or if it was where my case was

The top of the envelope did say Lees Summit, but still the USPS tracking says it came from Kentucky...

I live in utah for reference, so idk whether my location affects where it was sent/picked in a weird order or anything like that

No problem Davesings you are welcome. It's interesting information. However, now that we have the process confirmed and we know that NPIW cases can be sent to any field office for processing I have a list of new questions in my head:

  • If the NBC drip-feed the cases to the field offices in the order that they receive them, how did Otter~'s case get processed earlier than others? (Congrats again Otter~! Awesome!)
  • Does this mean that the cases received before Otter~'s have actually been sent to field offices already and are languishing there instead of the NBC? Was Otter~ just lucky in that hers got sent to a very quiet local office?
  • Should the people that have been waiting six months be asking to speak to Tier 2 officers to find out if their case has been transferred?
  • Please can my case be sent to Honolulu and can I then please be called for interview. ;-)

Now understand I'm only surmising, but I believe they are languishing in MO. It makes no sense that they would send cases to an overloaded field office. They want their numbers to look good. You'd have to suggest that USCIS field offices are cherry picking later received files over earlier ones to make their processing times look good. The last data were from Oct 31st; republish for a second time on Dec.23rd (what's up with that?). Unless they stopped working on Halloween, they should have progressed from there. I have searched many field offices and cannot find any with processing times earlier than my receipt date (and many of yours as well). So unless they are all corrupt at all the field offices (did I just really say that?), they have to be at USCIS. The last time I called Tier 2, that is exactly where it was...Anyone talked to Tier 2 lately with NPWI letters dated 7/29 or earlier?

I got my notice this morning saying my green card is in the mail!!

Congrats on your "gift" from USCIS...and that's how they're trying to make us feel...I want your representative... his or her office had the guts to go after USCIS for you...strong work...

I talk with the gentleman (and I use that term loosely since he sounds like he's 15 years old) in my Congresswoman's office yesterday and he deflected all my rants (and unfortunately it's gotten to the point that I can't mention the words green card without getting angry) with very political arguements of how because the comprehensive immigration reform never passed that is the reason we languish. I didn't want politics, I wanted someone to deal with the problem of this angry constituent...no such luck...useless...I didn't vote for her anyway...

Otter~, All green & EAD cards are centrally produced in Corbin, Kentucky. What we really want to know is where the finger that pressed 'approve' for your case was located. Please can my case be sent there LOL :-)

The envelope the GC came in had NBC's address on it. My electronic service requests went to Newark, NJ. I'm thinking that the case was sent to Newark.

We were March 20, 2014 filers with a June 27 NPIW letter.

My service request on the 8th of Jan had a NYC suffix (my geographical field office). Not more than 5 seconds after I submitted it on line, it came back that my case was unassigned. I can guaranty that it did not go to the NYC office to get that answer...our file is still in Missouri and we are stlll in misery...

We congratulate you and are hapy to finally see the NPWI line move further forward into late Jun 2014...

It appears that the vast majority of the Jun 5th NPWI members have been approved -- not all -- and there are still a few even earlier. We are fellow 6/27'ers (receipt date 3/25/14). I do not recall whether there I saw any other NPWI dates between 6/5 and 6/27, I may be wrong. Ours should be soon (though it took almost 1-1/2 months from late November from the 1st 6/5 NPWI approval to yesterday, the most recent); we hold no illusions for a January approval...

I have a friend visiting from the UK in June and we're planning on a road trip to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. We were just talking about it and I mentioned it will be my first land border crossing out of / into the U.S. I caught myself saying the words "It should be fine, I'll have my green card by then".

Over optimistic?

Our rep is Congressman Joe Wilson. They've gone after USCIS at every point if we've asked them to, even in our K-1 to get us all updates when they first started sending them to TSC. I'd strongly recommend everyone to at least try reaching out to their representative. You'll never get anything from USCIS directly. I got a response to my service request the day before my status update saying "Your petition/application is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition/application."

They clearly had an answer given the fact that they'd told our rep days earlier that it was now at New Jersey and would be decided by the end of the week, but they don't bother to provide any answers and just send you a generic response telling you to wait. They won't actually investigate unless they have to respond to someone with clout. In 2013, they even asked their main rep in DC about my case to get some definitive answers.

My medical was done in August 2013.
