is there anyone who got the notice of potential interview waiver letter in NOVEMBER 2014 and get approved lately? i got the letter in last NOVERMBER.I made online request in JANUARY 2015,the webpage showed to wait for 30 days ,I waited and got no reply .So i made a second online request this month ,FEBRUARY. Now i am waiting for reply again .My medical test was done in last April ,it seem like I wont get my GC soon ,I begin to worry that I might get a request to ask me to redo the medical exam. Do you guys know if it will always ask to redo the medical test after it expires ? or some lucky people didnt have to redo it even if it expire .Tired of waiting .I applied AOS in JUNE 2014.I called USCIS several times too, they always told me my case is at my local office ,my local office is dealing with the case applied in JUNE 2014 which is same time when I applied .This was a good news to me .But after I read so many post here ,i begin to doubt if my case is really at local office .

We filed August 2, and our letter (that only K2 received) is dated November 12.

Imagine how much harder this wait would be if this thread, or this website didn't exist, we'd all be wallowing in our own misery.. we're all living week by week now, Monday rolls around and someone, usually Shell makes the "Hopefully we'll see some approvals this week" then the next week is the same, I guess we do get a couple of approvals a week, usually someone not even in this thread

They're only just starting to process applicants who received waiver letters in early July, so it's likely you'll have at least 3-4 months more of waiting unfortunately.

this is not what i am looking forward to hear :( but thank you

Unfortunately when you talk with Tier 1, it's like dancing with the wrong partner. They don't have access to anything more than your number and the dates your application was filed and your NOA1. They tell everyone that their case is in their local office, because for most other visa classes this is true. For us, the few, the proud, the NPIW letter holders; we're in a different universe that most of them have never heard of. They are unaware of the putrescent aroma emanating from the vaults of NBC located somewhere in the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri where our cases decay. The only people who can truly you about where your case sojourns at this moment is Tier 2, if you can cajole them into telling you. Not always easy. Some of them are good at poker, others are not. It was only this week that we determined that our case had finally left Misery and was in the Big Apple field office.

I can tell you this. Many of us have received letters from SR and Congressional/Senatorial inquiries telling us to expect a wait from 9 - 12 months from filing. Others, even those with NOA's in mid March have received letters telling them to wait another 120 days. That would be 15 months. If I were an agent for USCIS, I'd say be patient. But I am not so having been where you are at your point in the wait, just passing the processing date at your local office, I wasn't and neither have most of us here. I came on this thread on Dec. 9th when there were a little over 500 posts, 34 pages and the thread was almost a year old. Now look at it. 2-5 pages a day during the week. We're all impatient, frustrated, aggravated, seething with anger, down, happy for others... We're still waiting and not enjoying any bit of it...

Sorry, can't be anymore encouraging...

thanks .there are a lot of information you shared .I will keep waiting

Unfortunately you still have some waiting to do. We have seen some approvals without having to renew medicals. We have seen a few that have had to get new medicals Or vaccinations. On June 1st of 2014 USCIS changed their medical policy as per request of the CDC. After June 1st medicals are only valid for 1 year. If your medical expires while you are waiting you will have to get another medical done. I think, and this is only my opinion, if you got your app to USCIS before June 1st there's a good chance you won't have to renew your medical. If USCIS received it after June 1st then you'll have to get a new medical.

thanks for answer my question .my application was received on JUNE 5th ,2014 by uscis. So based on your words , there is big chance I will be asked to redo medical because mine was received after JUNE 1st.Is this what you meant ?

I think there's a good chance that you might have to get a new medical once the existing medical expires. I could be wrong. We have seen people with expired medicals get approved, but we have also seen a very limited number of RFE's for medicals. USCIS is very unpredictable. In my opinion they are being lenient with apps they received before JUNE 2014 or else we would be seeing RFE's left and right from everyone. It's left to see what will happen when they start working on JUNE 2014 apps.

We're all still hanging in there, any day now any of us can get the good news.

And of course, I have ALL of your timelines on "Alert", so if it does happen, I will get the news on email!

They continue to piddle out at the speed of snow melting in Boston. Many mid-Marchers are still out. They seem to be perceverating on cases with NOAs of 3/31...Drip, drip, drip...just like a complaint to an urologist...

Oh dear...!

And the award for best "analogies" goes to... ;) HEHEHEHEHE

Hang in there!!! (drip...drip...drip...) :D

I filed in July, so I guess I'll have an RFE for a new medical. I hope they don't send a RFE in the summer when I may not be in the country. How long do they give for you to respond to an RFE?

It's usually 30-90 days.

So if you are out of the country for a month you could miss replying to the RFE. What happens then? Do they request it again or do they just deny AoS?
