sorry to hear that blueberry

star_smile.gif

Blueberry Pancake, I am SO SO SO sorry. I completely understand how hard that is because I'm in the same shoes with my hubby. I know we just got married and spent a month together, but he has gone back to Amsterdam and we won't see each other until Christmas either. It's not as long, but it's really hard to do the "Skype Marriage" or "Skype Relationship" thing. If you need to cry one someone's shoulder, feel free...I understand the pain.

All I can say is that I try to keep busy with my real life. I have plenty at work and at home. I'm sure you do, too. It doesn't really get rid of the pain, but it helps fill the time until we're together.

On a really bad bad bad bad BAD note--I just looked at the stats and trends for the California Service Center and it is BAD. They are so much slower than every other center in the country...by months and months. I'm considering contacting my congresswoman now. I really am. It's ridiculous how much slower it is.... Just my luck to be assigned to that one. sad.png

Awww, thank you, girl... You are so sweet!

I do not think looking up processing timelines for CSC makes any sense right now. CSC hasn't been processing I-130s for more than a year now.

CSC, VSC and TSC were severely backlogged so USCIS decided to start transferring cases to local offices. This probably helped unclog these centers (hence the speedy I-129f/K-1 and I-130/F2A lately).

So, again, no way for neither of us to guesstimate a timeline.

All we can do is wait.

And I really. hate. waiting!

Update! I got the NOA1 by mail today. Seems much faster than they said it would be!!! Hoping the rest of the process is, too. =)

Woohoo! Did it come from CA?

We're still waiting for ours :) Maybe today :)

I wouldn't pay too much mind to the dates. There are too many uncertain variables right now for those dates to be rock solid. I'd say be alil patient till Overland Park Centre starts working, then we will have a better idea of whats happening.

You're totally right and I do realize that. However, seeing those dates was sort of brutal cray5ol.gif

What I find absolutely infuriating is that it is impossible to get a hold of any certain information regarding this new NBC.

We're in the unknown.

Everyone is hoping it will be operational within the next few weeks, but no one knows anything for sure.

7 weeks. It was a I-129f but still!

energy.gif Happy Friday the 13th, everyone energy.gif

WOW! My mum just gave me an article today from one of her Irish newspapers and it talked about the permanent resident requests being really quick right now. For some reason, they are low on applications from Permanent Residents looking to allow their spouses to stay in the country. I don't get that at all. So, I'd like to hope that it will be good for all of us...but I'm not sure if they have dedicated staff for that job versus this one of approving visas for spouses of citizens. Ugh! So hard to make any guesses, isn't it? But you read this info. and get hopeful! Or, at least, I do! dancin5hr.gif

OH WOW! I don't know if I saw that when I updated mine. Let me see what I will see. That does sound like about the time-frame people have said. UGH. I hope it's not going to really be a year of waiting. I will live, but not happily!!!! Was this because of the center you were sent to???

star_smile.gif

Oh you're welcome! Seriously--I do understand the LD, Skype situation. It sucks! And I'm like you--not a fan of waiting...for anything! I'm really impatient already with this whole deal. LOL!

Yep, my NOA1 came from California! I was so surprised! I thought it would come from Phoenix for some reason--since I applied to the lockbox there. This whole system is so bizarre to me. It really doesn't make much sense. Did yours arrive????

The link I posted was re: I-129f/ fiance petition. There is no caps on those visas so they are always current. Just wanted you to see how fast they get approved at CSC now... Hopefully this will be the case for you, too! :)

Regarding that article your mom showed you... Yeah, these I-130/F2A petitions seem to be approved quickly lately, as well. These must be current though. The reasoning behind it seems to be right... Who knows.

I am so annoyed that they get preferential treatment... It's just not fair. Not. Fair.

Trust me, you are not the only one who is surprised your case was routed to CSC! They've stopped doing that last year, instead stand-alone I-130 petitions started being transferred to local offices. Now however they are being transferred to the new NBC in Kansas. Not yours, though!

So, hard to say why yours went to CSC? Even your timeline doesn't show estimate dates, cause there is no data to compute an estimate for you!

They probably changed something yet again and didn't bother telling anyone. Wouldn't be surprised.

Also, you wouldn't get a NOA1 from Phoenix... this is how it goes :

Currently: Phoenix/Chicago-> NBC/ Overland Park, KS

Used to: (from August 2012 - May 2013) Phoenix/Chicago-> NBC -> local office (some stayed at NBC though)

Before that it was: Phoenix/Chicago -> CSC/VSC/TSC

I've been trying to find ANY information about when the new NBC will be fully operational. And found nothing! NOTHING.

This is just outrageous!

Have a great weekend, everyone :)

Just found out I may not see my husband til after Christmas... It's already been 2,5 months since we last seen each other. And it's not getting easier. Only harder.

Breaks my heart that there is so many of us so horribly hurting sad.png

We spent 4 hours talking on Skype today. 'Skype marriage', I call it.

sad.png

Rysiu, have you ever spend Wigilia and Sylwester in Poland, or will it be your first time? smile.png

Hang in there. My wife and I see each other once every six months and we have a baby on the way, so it makes it even harder. Not telling you can't be sad or should stop thinking about it, but If we can do it so can you. :);)

I've only spent Sylwester in Poland, not Wigilia, so I'm very excited for it this year! I fly out December 22nd and come back January 5th, so a 2 week vacation for me. Thank God USCIS has no control over Poland's border!!! good.gif The EU is so much more less stringent with their immigration controls it seems.

Ugh.. I know this process hard on everyone.. Especially those expecting a child :(

I have 4 step-children that I haven't even met yet...

I went mushroom picking today (got 15 lbs, thank you very much) so I have enough for Wigilia! a lot of wild mushrooms will be needed :) wild mushroom soup, wild mushroom pierogies mmm yummy :)

Btw, mushroom picking is Polish national sport and hobby, hah ;) I love it, so peaceful and relaxing to be in the middle of the woods, looking for mushrooms. Love it!

AND found some blueberries too! kicking.gif And lingonberries. Delicious!

Finally recieved the paper copy and the petition is sent to Kansas

We got ours yesterday! Sent from Overland Park, KS.

I've read somewhere on VJ today that this Kansas facility is to be fully operational on Sept 28th. Which is Saturday, so more likely Sept 30th.

Also, when they opened the NBC in Lee's Summit, MO years ago, at the beginning their processing times were... 45 days.

So.. Let's hope this will happen again!

Fingers crossed. And toes too.

:)

Did you guys sign up for case updates? Here? https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp

I did! Thank you though! Hopefully there will be a quick update. :) Hehe!

Hang in there. My wife and I see each other once every six months and we have a baby on the way, so it makes it even harder. Not telling you can't be sad or should stop thinking about it, but If we can do it so can you. smile.pngwink.png

Our NOA1 hard copy was received in the mail yesterday from the Overland Park, Kansas NBC. Hoping this means something good....

Yikes, Rysiu! That is really hard. I am sorry that it is so long between your visits, but completely understand how difficult that must be. My hubby and I won't see each other until about Christmas and I am whining. It must be hard for your wife with a baby on the way. By the way, how will that work if she gives birth before coming to the U.S.? Will you have to do something to get the baby in or will he/she be automatically granted citizenship through you? Congrats on the NOA1! :)

Finally recieved the paper copy and the petition is sent to Kansas

Congrats Asr18!

Ugh.. I know this process hard on everyone.. Especially those expecting a child sad.png

I have 4 step-children that I haven't even met yet...

I went mushroom picking today (got 15 lbs, thank you very much) so I have enough for Wigilia! a lot of wild mushrooms will be needed smile.png wild mushroom soup, wild mushroom pierogies mmm yummy smile.png

Btw, mushroom picking is Polish national sport and hobby, hah wink.png I love it, so peaceful and relaxing to be in the middle of the woods, looking for mushrooms. Love it!

AND found some blueberries too! kicking.gif And lingonberries. Delicious!

Congrats on the NOA1, Blueberry! Wow--4 stepchildren! That's a lot. My hubby has 2 grown kids that I haven't met yet, either...but they are college-age, so not much parenting to do there, for me. The mushroom picking sounds like fun. I love mushrooms! I bet you're finding a lot of varieties. Do you know which ones are safe and which to avoid? I heard some are poisonous.

I hope you get lucky with the new center, like it happened before. Heck! I hope I get lucky, too, with the new cases going to California! Good luck to us!!!! idea9dv.gif

APPROVED 2/13/2014! dancin5hr.gif Day before heart.gif day. rose.gif

Rysiu, have you ever spend Wigilia and Sylwester in Poland, or will it be your first time? smile.png

Big hugs to you BB.

I understand the emotions of it all.

Hubby and I have been apart 18mths now, originally he was coming here to NZ ,then we decided no, I would return to the states....(all that time we could have had our applications sorted)....never mind, the things we do for love ha..

Time and money ,neither one can be hurried.

It is definatley the biggest revenue for Governments.

Back to work I go .
