The interview went well. He said the people interviewing him were very nice.
He got AP though (admin processing) on a green slip and they told him it will take 3-4 months to get his visa. The questions he was asked were the following:

- what is your wifes name?
-who is calling you to the US?
-what is your wifes job?
-where does she work?
- who does she live with? Name all members
- where will you live when you go there?

Then he asked for pictures which my husband gave him an album of. That was it. Then they gave my hubby the green slip.

One of my husbands friends who had his interview 3 months ago also got the green slip but along with it he got a brochure and some pamphlets of the USA

However, my hubby didn't get any of that. He just got the green slip that states that its in AP

I'm wondering why he didn't get it? Is there something wrong?

or maybe they just forgot to give it to him??

Would love to hear from you guys, please!

They said the case was good but they just needed to do a little further processing. I don't know how long it will take now? how much to wait exactly. They said 3-4 months but has anyone had any experience where they get it sooner?

It can be months or years. From my experience here it is usually longer than 3-4 months.

We were put on AP cause I had one missing doc during my interview and asked me to send it to the embassy, then they gave me a white 221g form, we were on AP for two weeks, I know how you feel cause that can take time. I thought that myself and freaked out. But it will depend on what they see on your case, why they need a further review. It may be they see something wrong on your case, or no proof of genuine relationship, it can be whatever. See this link its from the travelstate website about AP http://travel.state.gov/visa/a_zindex/a_zindex_4353.html I hope you get issued soon, pray hard and have faith

Hello, if they kept the passport there's a bigger chance they really just need some time for further review. We will pray you get issued soon :)

it takes more than a year atleast from Islamabad embassy to resolve the AP. I know people who are under AP for 22 months yet no visa issues. I am also a victim of AP (11 months now). I would suggest you to stay with your husband through this AP and pray.

those dont mean anything they are basically showing you what you are missing by not giving you the visa. or letting you see what is waiting for you after you receive the visa .
