In most cases I have seen on VJ the interview is still on (the computer system gets messed up and wrongly tells applicants not to come when they're scheduled) - the applicants just fail to show up and get denied.

So, plan to go to your scheduled interview and make sure someone signs your interview letter in case they tell you it indeed was cancelled. You want to have proof you showed up there for interview.

Maybe they decided to put your case in the waiver pile.

My interview and both my daughters were cancelled too, all scheduled for September 23 in Sacramento. At this stage I'll wait for more contact from USCIS, but if none arrives in the next 3 weeks I'll call to double check the cancellation. We're still waiting for approval of our EAD and travel docs which I'm hoping comes soon as I have been offered a job but can't start until I get it.

what do you guys mean with "waiver file" and "something went wrong"??? its making me nervous sorry....

Re the waiver. Sometimes they determine that people who come on a K1 visa do not need an interview since they've already had one in their home country. This procedure is called Interview Waiver, and those people will just receive their Green Card s in the mail.

I know of one other member on here who had recently had her interview cancelled by the local office and a couple of days later was told she is exempt from the interview and would receive her GC in the mail in the next few days.

Doesn't mean it has to be like that for you, but it would be one explanation. Sometimes they just cancel interviews and reschedule them for a later date. I would check back with USCIS.
