It is the affordable care act..Calling it Obama care marginalizes the bill and stereotypes those who supported it

I think there are some people who want further clarification on what names you can call people and what names you can't ;)

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Clarification: You can't call people any name that is meant as or is interpreted as a type of insult, personal attack or in some way ridicules, marginalizes, hurts, pokes fun at, offends, is derogatory, belittling, offensive, mean-spirited, demeaning, snarky, cast slurs or aspersions, takes swipes at . . or in the words of the TOS:

Make comments in a Post either direct or implied toward another member that are purposely designed to upset, antagonize, make fun of, belittle, harass, insult, or otherwise instigate an argument that takes away from the personal enjoyment of the Service by other users.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Yeah, I guess I insulted that guy when I suggested that perhaps he should get a job so that he can support his wife instead of expecting his sick mother to do so.

As I responded in the other thread, how you make a suggestion can often override what the suggestion is - so, if you wish people to 'hear' your message, please try to find a non-judgmental, non-accusatory, considerate way of offering advice that doesn't insult them in the process. It is easy for people to miss what you have to say because it gets lost in how you are saying it.

It was the way that you said it.. Next time say it exactly the same but add a smiley.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect
