Hello to all of you,

my husband is an american citizen and living currently with me in Brussels, Belgium. We would want to move back to the US together and we started the process of filling the I-130 along with the G-325 and the other basic documents needed. Most of you know it is a pretty stressful operation and what is making it a challenge for me is the sum of contradictory informations I hear here and there. Has anyone from Belgium been through this? I'd like to have some more precise informations on how the embassy here in Brussels could help and a place where I could ask questions.

Thank you!

Anne-Lise

I don't think there are many companies in Belgium that can help, as most issues are related to immigration law, that is, the US immigration law. Therefore you need someone versed in US Law, which will most likely be a lawyer in the US, or at least a paralegal.

There are companies available that do the paperwork for you for a fixed fee, or you can enlist a dedicated lawyer who will charge by the hour.

And then there are forums like this one, where you can find help as well.

I'm in Belgium at the moment with my US wife, we'll be filing soon.
