Due to customs of my fiances family, we have kept the fact that I am a single father away from them. we want to keep the charade for the time being. As the petitioner... what information am I required to put forth on the application? And what of my information will be on documents my fiance is given during and after this process?

You will need to list your son on various forms such as the affadavit of support. Presumably your fiance knows about the son, just not her family? I don;t see how this would be an issue, unless you expect a fraud investigation and the COs to visit her family and ask about your relationship, in which case the son may be mentioned. What country is she from?

She is from korea and her family is slightly conservative. Yes. We are just waiting till the right time to tell her family. And we want to get married and just dont want her family to Know yet. We aren't worried about any fraud or being flagged for anything. We won't be hiding anything foe the government of course

we know everything about eachother we think to talk about. what happens if they ask questions about our relationship that neither of us has found relevant to discuss? she doesnt know the name of my 3rd dog when i was 13 who stayed with us for a month.... but we have lived together. she knows food i like. knows about my son, his mother. my history. but somethings we choose not to talk about or discuss because we dont find them relevant to being together. she doesnt know the names of any of my ex's save one. doesnt know half my babysitters because they are relatives of my ex. but she knows things i like to do. types of movies i like. my sports teams. knows my political views. we can talk for hours about stories of our pasts but dont always remember them. she knows about the big problems and the things that make me who i am, and i her. but, i havent met her family. i wont for a couple years at least. i know their names by studying them written down. when we talk its "my father" "my sister" etc.... so what happens if they ask questions we dont know? we werent planning on taking a test about eachother... thats rather rude to ask of your spouse. you trust that they love you and pay attention. but people dont remember every word.

Well, this is a test... and passing it gets her a visa.

Your third dog when you were 13 and you only had for a month is unlikely to come up. But things like your siblings and ex' names is. Certainly why you divorced them is often asked; we just recently had a case on here where the beneficiary didn't know about the petitioner;s divorce several years ago, and this case is now in AP (adiminstrative processing- ie a delay after the interview for more investigation).

and I am assuming of course that the test goes both ways as in I need to know the saying things about her that she knows about me.

right? will her family need to know questions about me as well? or as she is the one applying for the visa is her knowledge the only one that matters?
