we just got approved, we received our NOA2 on the 31 of October.

we were sooooooo happy too read these exciting words:

On October 31, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

So they received our RFE response on the 25 th of October and we got our NOA2 in exactly 6 days

HI guys you said you got your interview date. so the embassy scheduled it for you or you scheduled it yourself?

i asked my embassy and they told me that i have to schedule interview date after i receive instructions from the embassy

please whenever you have time let me know or if any one knows anything about this please write your input

I responded to your message with some info -

We personally received our date from the embassy - they picked it for us, but every embassy does things differently.

I would follow whatever instructions you receive from your embassy and that should work just fine. It seems as though you will get your instructions from the embassy which is packet 3, telling you what documents you need to put together and then once you are ready, contact them and schedule a date.

You will probably get more information about this in the email / letters you receive from them.

We just got an email from the Rio de Janeiro consulate, and our K-1 interview is scheduled for January 7, 2014. Who would have thought just a year ago that so much could change so quickly? as for my embassy they told me after i get notification from them they received my case i have to schedule interview date my self online

Thanks everybody! Yes, the Rio consulate schedules the interview for you. Fortunately they've given enough lead time so we can be together for the interview. I'm glad I saved up the frequent flyer miles!
