How long does it take to get NOA 2 ( Approval Notice) for I-130 filed for a Spouse ( for LPR).

I called USCIS and they told me VSC is processing cases from March 2012 and my case is with in usual processing times.

And she also told me the dates becoming current won't have any impact on processing I-130 !!

Could some one please let me know how much time on average does it take to get approval of I-130.

Thanks a lot.

You can withdraw, and file again immediately if you want. But you will loose the time you spent waiting, and the money, because there are no refunds.

Patience kabayan... case to case.. i was just lucky i got approved early.. maybe you are next..

there is no harm when u just wait.. u just waste your time when u withdraw and then later u will apply again.

that will be long long to wait.. u are getting closer for approval..

I was told if you have a receipt number they will be able to locate your documents some how. About a yesr ago we never got a receipt number and had to refile. I would keep calling and ask for a supervisor or get congressmen involved like I had to.

First, go have a drink and calm down.

Second, it has only been 6 months. Be patience and wait. That is all you can do. If you don't hear anything in the next 3 months, then contact the office with the files.

Thrid, there are no refunds. Once the check has been cashed, you cannot get your money back. So, there is no procedure to get a refund.

Fourth, refile?????? Why would you abandon these petitions which are proceeding normally and refile and pay the fees again and put your parents at the end of the line? REFILING DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE. THIS IS THE WORST THING YOU COULD DO.

Excellent! When you call into USCIS , and ask for casefile status, what does a CSR tell you?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
