I just phoned and my wife's interview is on Sept 18th... Anyone who's waiting from Canada should call, or I'm sure e-mails will be arriving in the next couple of days

dwheels I just call in NVC i spoke to operator she told me that the immigrant visa interview is on waiting on the embassy in singapore for the permit to have an interview what is that mean. Im Filipino and Im base here in singapore. Just getting worried I wont be approved to have my interview here.

Personally I would open up your own topic and ask. I really have no idea. Do you meet all the requirements to be able to interview in Singapore?

Also what did the embassy say? Did you contact them? Seems weird since the embassy wouldn't have your case yet but maybe NVC has to verify with embassy. I would contact embassy but hey ask the VJ community and also it will appear in your regional forum and hopefully someone can shade light on it.

I would say when you found out about the interview. I found out through the email, but back then they were sending them out the same day they were scheduled. Apparently they've been falling behind recently, so I would just put the date you found out, even if it was over the phone.

dwheels76, in your list, is RECEIVED the date when the person found out about the interview date over the phone, or when they received the official email about it?

Received date is however you found out about your interview. Some call some get emails.

When we first started this list in October the emails were coming 1 to 2 weeks away. It wasn't until February they started coming same day.

Heck the case complete letter never use to come that is a new feature also that started about February.

So however you find out we at VJ you know we have to know NOW. So call or wait for email.

Just an FYI Summer777 got their interview email 4 days later. Some next day some same day.

I think it is for when the US Embassy where you'll have your interview received your paperwork.
