My spouse is about to file for me; however we live together, and she just filed for food stamp from the Government. Will this be a problem?

I also want to mention that she makes about N19,000 a year, and I make around N14,000 in one year. Can she sponsor me? Will both commingled resources be ok?

Please advise.

Food stamps for her are not a problem, but if she included you in the application, that is an issue.

As you are married, you can co-mingle incomes so you should be ok, unless you have several kids/ other dependants.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

What is N14,000? Nigerian money? Do you mean $14,000? If your work is legal and will continue from the same source you can add it to her affidavit.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Maybe he works online and earns "N." Sometimes reading between the lines can help people avoid pitfalls.

I pray he means Dollars and not Naira (nigeria money) cuz N19,000 is $118.00 and N14,000 is $87.00.

How many are in your household is the big question? Just you and her? kids?
