Hi,I am new here and I would like to ask a few question so that some that had the same issue can help me.I am a US citizen but I have been living in Europe for most of my life, had some travel visits only to the US.I have a girl who I have been dating for 2 years and a few months, she lives in the same town as I do and we got engaged this month. Now my concern is that I would like for us to go to the USA and live there but as I have never worked there is this a problem for applying for the K1,she has a family member with very good income and she is willing to be her sponsor.I would also like to know what do you send with the K1 form,do you send the I-134 also and what else along.About the relationship we do not have chat logs as we live like 20 minutes away,we have a lot of pictures but no dates on them,we made only one travel together this year for the New Year, other then that I am trying to get out phone logs but as we are on prepaid the most oldest can be 6 months and we did not use the land line as we talk for free on the cell phone and call each other a few times a day.So all in all this is a real relationship, she comes at my house, she know all my friends, family,I know here family and her friends,we have some photos from a friends wedding in the start of our relationship but again no date on them. Can anyone give me some suggestions and also what do you put in the K1 petition address as I do not have one there and I am planing to rent an apartment a month before the trip.Any help from members would be great about how to start the K1 and what to send along with the I-129F Petiton, what do I send with this form and also dose her family single sponsor sign the I-134 or the I-864?Thanks!

See the guide, it will answer most of your questions pertaining to what to send.

Since you live in the same region, you will note that and focus on e-mails, vacations, etc.

Read the directions for the I134 as to who can financially sponsor an immigrant

good luck

Thank you - canadian_wife - I have read the link before but a lot of stuff is not mentioned on the USCIS so wanted to ask.We live in the same town, about the email we really did not send email as we live like 20 minutes away.I used MSN a lot from the start but as some might know it was terminated in March this year and I never saved logs at all,did not plan this.We traveling only once out of the country this year, before that we went at the Mediterranean Sea during the summer which is like 1h drive from my town,I have a lot of pictures as I said with friends on the beach, same friends in the town but no date on pictures, who puts dates on pictures, just messes the picture? So any suggestion would be helpful...

canadian_wife,Her uncle will be the full sponsor, dose he need to fill the I-134 only? Thanks stevie b,can you tell me should I send originals along with my I-129f,do they have to be the same copies as what to bring at the interview, how do they look at picuters printed on a a4 paper?

The I-134 is not sent with the I-129F petition. Follow the guide here on VJ. It lists everything that is required. The I-134 and supporting douments will be needed for the K-1 interview, which will be months away after the I-129F has been approved. Both the petitioner and co-sponsor will provide an I-134.

Photos can printed on regular paper.

To clarify, is her uncle a U.S. citizen or permanent resident? From your original post, it sounded like your fiance is not the U.S. citizen, so her family member (unless he is legally residing in the U.S.) would not be eligible as a co-sponsor for the I-134... the requirements for this form are fairly vague and they differ for each country, but I'm pretty sure they all require that someone working and living in the U.S. can provide proof of financial support.

If you are a resident there, then lease records, bank records, receipts of purchases, etc can all be used as proof you have been there during the past two years. Also your passport should have info/stamps on it. This can all be used, with pictures of you and her together at recognizable locations as backup support.

You do not need to worry about the I-134 now, as USCIS doesn't care about that. The embassy will though, and you will need a US CITIZEN sponsor for her. Is her uncle a US citizen?

Yes,he is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and has a good income and rents property also so I guess that would be ok then?

Thanks Jay-Kay,I understand, but as I never worked in the USA as I live here for some time, would it hurt to send a copy of the I-134 along with the I-129F so that they can see that she has a good sponsor?

It will not help at all. They will not deal with your I-134 at all. The CO at the consulate is the one that makes that decision And, as others have said, the co-sponsor will need to be a US citizen or legal permanent resident.

I have to respectfully disagree that you don't need to "worry about" the I-134 now, just becase you don't need to send it with your I-129F (don't get me wrong, you do not need to send it with your I-129F packet). Personally, that would be one of the first things I'd consider to know whether you are even eligible to apply for the K1 visa. If you do not have a U.S. Citizen who can provide proof of financial support to sponsor you, you might not be eligible for the visa, and you certainly wouldn't be able for the Adjustment of Status after you're married.

EDIT: Sorry, I was typing this as you posted your response. If the uncle is a U.S. citizen, you're good!

I just meant he doesn't need to worry about sending it now. Of course he needs to plan ahead though. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes,her uncle is a U.S. citizen.I have a residence here for a long time,we live like 10 minutes away from each other,I have bank accounts here,I pay some bills on my name that go beyond many years.I got my new passport here in my town last year as I did not take it out for a long time and just got it at the USA Embassy last year and they know that I lived here as my passport was very old.Do I send the I-134 with my I-129F for them to see, would this be better as I never worked in the US?Also is not having chat logs lack of evidence as we dont send emails to each other, used MSN from the start but MSN is closed this year,I have facebook but I deleted an opened accounts like 3 times,I know I would not need logs in my situation but what would be good to send,I have pictures, travel ticket and hotel bill, ring bill, call logs from the past 6 months, skype call one year ago on her cell.Any suggestion would be great.Thank you!
