Oh wow, really? hmmm, maybe that'll be my time frame from now on but still the sooner the better. Thanks!

ofcourse i ment 6 months to get our NOA2 :) not visa :))))

well yo got married DEC 2011 and it will be 2 years in 6 months , what i ment was that you guys been together for this long and IMO it dose make it a bit easier as they see this relationship stronger .!

have you guys lived to gether at all ???

FYI that is 1 year 7 months.

NOA2 took us 8 months to receive and it'll be just over 1 year when my husband goes for his interview.

06.27.12: Mailed out I-130 IR1 for husband

07.02.12: NOA1
03.08.13: NOA2
05.10.13: Case complete

07.10.13: Interview - AP

12.05.13: AP completed

12.17.13: Visa in hand

02.02.14: POE - NYC

04.04.14: Greencard in hand

11.06.19: Mailed out N-400

12.03.19: Biometrics

01.21.21: Citizenship Interview

06.01.18: F2A filed for brothers ages 20, 19 and 16

03.26.20: Petition approved ages 21, 20 and 17

04.24.21: DQ - awaiting interview ages 22, 21 and 18

the I-130 is a petition. It is NOT an application.

After the petition is approved the case is sent to the NVC. At the NVC the beneficiary will become the visa applicant. They apply for the visa via the DS-230 (or DS-260 for online forms countries.)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

8/26/2005 - Became a couple back in college
12/29/2012 - Got Married
2/28/2013 - Filed i-130
3/05/2013 - NOA1 Received ( Missouri Service Center) NBC
11/07/2013 - Case transferred to Nebraska Service Center
12/6/2013 - NOA2 FINALLY!!!

01/07/2014- Case received at NVC

02/12/2014- AOS invoice

02/14/2014-Sent AOS Packet

02/26/2014- IV Invoice

02/27/2014- Sent IV Packet

03/20/2014- Case Complete at NVC. Still waiting for interview date

5/8/2014- Interview :)

The more I read these forums, the more I realize how lucky I actually was. My petition was approved in a little over 3 months. Not sure how, or why...

Praying that all of you get your NOA2s soon, I remember I used to refresh the case status page 50 thousand times a day. Then, one weekend I went away to stay with my parents ( As per my husband's suggestion, because I was getting so frustrated with looking at INITIAL REVIEW ). I came back home and got the good news that they had approved it that same Saturday :-)

Keep the faith everyone, we will be with our loved ones soon...

10-22-2012: I130 registered at the USCIS

02-02-2013: I130 approved


02-27-2013: Petition registered at NVC

05-20-2013: NVC Case complete

05-27-2013: Received email NVC Case complete

06-04-2013: Called NVC - Interview scheduled for 07-05-2013

06-04-2013: Confirmation from NVC by email


06-06-2013: Left NVC

06-10-2013: Arrived at Rio de Janeiro Embassy - CEAC website shows case as "Ready"

06-19-2013: Recieved confirmation email from the Rio de Janeiro Embassy

07-02-2013: Medical

07-05-2013: Interview


07-25-2013: I-601 Waiver received in NSC

02-07-2014: NSC sent an RFE

04-16-2014: I-601 Approved

05-19-2014: Visa in Hands

06-06-2014: POE - JFK

mine was at NBC too and it took 6 months ! hope yours is not that long as you guys have an easier case smile.png

weve been waiting for 6months now for our I-130, I hope we hear from them soon!
