Who will fly, When its Time!!!!!

Hey people, just curious on when its time for our loved one to come to USA, how many people will travel overseas and fly back with our fiance to help her and be with her coming to the USA for the first time. Or who will just let their loved one fly by themselves and picking them up at the airport here? although it would save a lot of extra money with that option, I will be one of the ones flying there and traveling back with her...

would love to hear your answers !!!!!!

First, I plan on flying there to be with her during the interview (Philippines), I can only stay a week at the most. Then, when she has the visa in hand and finished with the CFO seminar (required for Philippines), I'm planning on going overseas and flying back with her. She has never been on an airplane before and may get confused with the layovers, forms, etc... I want to make sure everything goes smooth, especially since I'm going to pay for her ticket with my CC and I may have to present it at the airport. I know I can send a copy of my CC to her and she can present that or i can visit the airline and put a note in the booking, but I just feel better being there. Also, it will be nice to be there at the POE (which will be JFK) just in case there are any issues there.

I'm starting to save money now so when it is time, I won't have to worry about that either. She has 6 months after medical (or is it 6 month from visa issue, I can't remember) to use the visa, so I can pick her up in that time frame. Good luck!

I wanted to travel to fly back with her, but she got her visa in the summer time and prices rise significantly during that time, so we decided to save that money and she flew by herself.

I considered it, as it would also allow for me to pack lightly and bring more of her things back with me without excess baggage fees, and make for less stuff to send over post, but we decided that since I have only a limited amount of paid time off each year, that it was better for us to travel between filing for and receiving the visa to spend time together. She's traveled to the US on her own before, so that's not an issue with us. This way we get to spend some time together while waiting and that definitely makes things much easier than those who must wait apart during the process.

I am planning on flying over once we know her interview date, attending the interview (if allowed) and then flying back with her. I travel internationally for work a lot and have accumulated more than enough frequent flyer miles to redeem for my round trip flight there and back as well as her one way ticket to the States. My company is also very accommodating so I will be able to spend a few weeks there, need be, and simply work remotely without having to take too much time off. That is the plan right now, now I just need an NOA2!

I planned and saved for this very reason to be with her during the interview . I having a lot of thoughts about it though . To be with her to fly home would be a wonderful experience . Would not be the practical choice to spend all that money , but you only live once . I am going even with all the possible delays that could happen . I have my trust in my faith that everything will work out . To plan for this after her medical she will do the CFO . Then interview and CFO if anything needs to be completed . We should have 2-3 weeks to wait for the 2go packet which we plan to pick up at the mall of Asia in Manila to save some time .

I will be flying to Manila this month to be with my Jenny for her interview. Since her bday is in Sept, i may wait until then to bring her back so she can have one more bday spent with her family for awhile. And since i travel over there every three months for work, i will just bring her and my son back then!

I am flying over for the interview later this month but cannot stay long enough for his trip here - praying we do not get AP but if even if we dont he has to tie up loose ends before coming here.

Processing times are different in each country, so I can't answer for Malaysia, but in general, if approved, they take the beneficiaries passport and send them their passport back with a visa packet (which is to remain unopened) and that is when they can travel. Check within the regional forums for your area and someone will be able to give you a timeline as to how long this takes.

I will be flying back to accompany him to the US. I will pack light so he can bring more of his things here. He isn't to keen on flying, so my being there will make the flight easier. It is going to be so funny to experience this journey. All we talk about is him traveling and talking with an American accent all the way here. He just cracks me up!!!!!! Looool.
