Well, my betrothed went ahead to St. Luke's for the medical. I told her what everyone said on here; to wait until her monthly 'visitor' had left the building, but she went ahead anyway. It wasn't so bad though. She was able to do everything except the physical exam, which she can go back for next week. Here's the thing: they asked her for the National Visa Center confirmation. I gave her the MNL number, but she said that they are looking for an official document from NVC with the MNL number printed on it. I've called the NVC and requested something along those lines. They said that they normally don't send anything....just flip it to the consulate after receiving the info from USCIS. Anyone have similar issues with St. Luke's? What can be done?

Hi, I told my fiance that St. Luke's needs that letter from the NVC stating the MNL case#. He called the NVC and he was informed that they don't send out such thing. I didn't bother much cuz such letter is required only if available by St.Luke's as stated in their website. However, last night my fiance informed that he received a letter from NVC which we think is the one being required by St. Luke's. I think NVC doesn't have an idea what we truly need.

Keep on calling or e-mailing them.

What they want is your NOA2 hardcopy. It should have your case number there. Maybe give a scanned copy to your fiancee so you don't have to resend it via mail?

The MNL / NVC case number should be in your NOA2 hardcopy. :)

Actually, there is no mention on my NOA2 about the MNL number. I comes from USCIS before going to NVC and getting assigned a case number from them. I wrote it in for my reference when I called NVC and got the number.

I got a letter from NVC after they assigned the MNL #, it stated that number and the info on my wife. The letter arrived a couple weeks after I got the MNL # but I did get a letter.

What you could do is email NVC, link and info is in my signature, requesting the MNL # (yes I know you have it) they will reply with the number, then you can forward that to your fiancée as it "from" NVC and has her name and MNL #... that should make them happy.

Oh really? I guess I'll check with my fiance where he was reading our MNL case number when he gave it to me. Either way a confirmation letter from NVC could only mean your NOA2 because there won't be any other letter coming from them other than that as I believe. You can also do what Hank said as that will have the MNL case number in it at the same time :)

You can send a copy of your NOA2 and also an email from NVC once they answwer back that way people from St. Luke's,Embassy, and CFO in case get what they want. :D

No the letter from NVC is not your NOA2, the NOA2 comes from USCIS informing you that your petition has been approved (does not have the MNL #). NVC does mail out a letter to the petitioner notifying him of the MNL# and beneficiary information.

The NOA2 has no value for SLEC or USEM

Now how things work for the K-1 and the IR/CR-1 is different

Well, I guess we'll see you in line Tuesday morning. I arrive in Manila on Saturday night. My girl is VERY nervous about the interview. I hope by being there, she will remain calm and not implode in front of the consulate!!
