I am freaking out right now. Ok so 2 weeks ago i sent an email to nvc to remove atty in our case. And today i got this response and please can anybody enlighten me as to what this email means?

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: MNL******** filed by __________ on behalf of ________

We updated the email address for this case. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change of mailing/email address, or change in personal situation that may affect the principal applicant's entitlement to a visa.

A review of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form and supporting documents that you submitted has revealed that you have provided incomplete information in your response or you have not responded to some questions.

Please pay specific attention to the questions marked in the attached I-864/A checklist. You will need to complete and submit a new form with the changes noted on the attached checkl will need to follow the instructions for the Affidavit of Support (I-864) that are posted on the Department of State website at the following address: www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov. From there, you can fill out a new form online, print the new completed form and mail it to NVC. If you are the Petitioner, please read all instructions and complete the correct form to submit to NVC. An Affidavit of Support form is required to be submitted from the Petitioner on each case regardless of his/her income li will hold this case until you send us these needed items. When you return the documents to NVC, please make sure that the documents submitted are in the correct order and stapled together, as stated in the I-864 Important Notice instructiore waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case. The Principal Applicant and each derivative

applicant that will accompany him/her to the United States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application. Please visit the following website for instructions on how to obtain and submit the Immigrant Visa Application:

I just got off the phone with NVC. Our AOS was reviewed and the operator said signature in blue/black ink is acceptable (phew!) however, they are going to send a checklist for our co-sponsor, my mother-in-law. She said it was for item 11, that the income declared doesn't match the one in income tax return. My mother-in-law is a disabled veteran. Her income is from her VA benefits and SS benefits. So we just put her income in item 10. My current annual individual income is $ ____. Since she is exempt from filing Federal income tax returns (we included a letter explaining it in our AOS packet), we left item 11. Federal income tax information. blank. Should we still have put there her income and just not check the box saying she has filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years? But it says after that My total income (adjusted gross income on IRS 1040EZ) as reported on our federal tax returns for the most recent three years was: Tax Year - Total Income and she doesn't have any tax returns. (I attached a pic of the portion of the form for reference.)

Or could it be that they just overlooked the letter explaining why she is tax exempt? Can we ask for a supervisor review in this case? How should we go about it?

(I asked the operator about our AOS payment. She doesn't see it in the system and told me to include a bank statement when we send in the checklist. But I assume since they reviewed it, the one who reviewed it was able to see that we already paid? We'll send a copy of bank statement and a copy of the receipt from the payment portal.)

You weren't supposed to leave that question blank. If she doesn't file tax returns, then she should have put $0 for the three years.

Saylin! You were so quick. I was just gonna repost it on the July thread but I think there's no need anymore. Ok, just to clarify, that's all that they want then? To put 0.00 in all three blanks?

Possibly. You may want to wait for the checklist though to be certain.

I completely understand how you feel about NVC. I feel like this if you can't be polite at a job that clearly deals with customers then leave. Go be a janitor or something. Its already stressful waiting to hear something and then to get yelled at for asking a simple question will make any person blood boil.

Nice to hear I'm not the only one!

I work in customer service and if I spoke to anyone the way this Tori woman spoke to me I'd fully expect to be fired. I'm getting my husband to call most of the time now, maybe they're nicer if they speak to a USC?

The reps are usually pleasant, just now and again they make you feel like you're being a neusense, but it's their job to answer our questions. And I'm not one of those ppl that call every day (let alone twice a day!).

No need for the old passport, the birth registration, or a photocopy of the police certificate.

And the DS-2001 is for K1 applicants and DCF applicants. Not needed in your case.
