Immigration fee - no confirmation??

6 posts in this topic

Hey! my husband is headed off to his POE on Friday. He's going for an interview (we're moving there officially at the end of July).

I paid the new $165 fee online last week and arrived to a page that says "your transaction has been successfully completed." However, I never received an email or anything despite having put both of our emails in the info as we paid.

Unfortunately I can't check my bank account because it's a new one and I need to be in the US to set up online banking.

So, wondering if anyone else had this experience? Should I just go by the fact that the page told us we were OK, even though I haven't received an email confirming that?

Hmm... I was under the impression that you got a case number or something for this fee? Or maybe it's your A number? Previous members have posted talking about using the USCIS online status feature to see what's going on insofar as processing with this fee, and how long it's been taking for the actual green card to get sent out. Have you tried sticking the A number on the status portal?

A new system(ELIS) for payment went into effect may 19th so which method did you use? the old or new one?

We paid in April and got an email confirmation after that. Hope the right email was used . did you check your junk folder?

with the new system, you can track you payment since an account has to be created before payment.
