Hello,

I am new to this site,

I filled a I-130 for my wife and iam a USA citizen,

can any one guide me where i can get more info on I130, processing steps and how it works ,

Welcome to the site!:D

if you already filed the petition for your wife to USCIS then you do not need any other process about that stage until you get a response from; approval/RFE(refuest for further evidence )/ petitioner interview etc.

The stage you should be looking up now pending USCIS is the NVC stage whichis when the applicant now submits application for Visa . Of course for most people, the petitioner initiates and monitors this stage.

12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!

NVC: (19 days)
Case entered and # assigned: 2011-11-18
NVC Case COMPLETED: 2011-12-07 ( 43 days from NOA 2 and 65 days from NOA 1)
Interview Date(Lagos): 2012-01- 23 Mom was late for interview
New Interview date: 2012-02-29 : VISA APPROVED

I see you Filled your I-130 and got approved on that Congrats,

I filled mine last month, I-130 , they received it on 23rd April. So today will be exactly one month,

so from now i need to wait for NOA2 right, and that takes normally from 1-6 months, RIGHT?

Also if i get some letter from my Kansas governor will that help. My dad knows him personally.

Let me know if a letter will make the process quick

I will do more resarch today and will ask back if i have more questions

The USCIS stage takes from 1-8 months... sometimes longer. I wouldn't worry until it's been past 6 months honestly because that is the normal processing time. It generally takes a few months for the I-130 to be sent from the NBC to your local field office.
