I have read that a couple of people's AOS packet is on hold because they sent the new 864 form published mid April, but that the NVC did not have the instructions on how to review them.

I just wanted to find out whether others had sent the new forms and they had been told the same.

I used the new version: the updated version appeared when I googled 'I864'. Eventhough I had the old version completed and ready to send, I thought I'd better send the new one.

So on May 8th the NVC received our AOS package with the new form.

We haven't heard any feedback yet, it seems to take 10 business days to review a package. So I m worried now that ours will also be on hold due to NVC's and governmental's incompetency of releasing form, and yet not creating instructions!!!

Is anyone else in the same boat?

I dont get it, why put it on hold as the old and new version is pretty much thesame, the only difference is the template for that form.. I as well sent the new version of I-864

Maybe we should call NVC and ask more about putting the new version of I-864 on hold... It really doesnt make sense to me when i look at the old and new version as they are almost thesame but the template. My AOS is been 10 days after it was delivered and still not on their systerm :( .. Hoping to get review soon..

Angel, usually it takes 10 business days to review an AOS, so you re still in the timeframe.

I have another friend who sent the old version 12 business days ago and she still isn't reviewed either.

I don't know either why they would put it on hold. But I worked for a big American corporate years ago, and we had work instructions for absolutely everything (even how to work out a coffee machine!). We were under strict under not to use or do something if the process wasn't clearly explained in work instructions (perhaps to cover our backs). So if NVC has the same attitude, and if no work instructions have been released, I m assuming the new version I864s will stay stacked up in piles until work instructions are created, reviewed by analysts and approved... :(

Yep, let's hope so!

We sent AOS on May 3rd and IV Package May 6th. Both were delivered and signed for on May 8th.

Some people are getting case completes and package reviews for around May 1st right now.

We also sent the new form, mailed it out the 1st of May and got there the 3rd, mailed the IV package the 9th of May and recieved the 13th, I called today and still getting the generic-Its not on file yet please wait 20 business days?ClockWatch2.gif
