The issue date was 9/1/11 - correct? With an expiration date of 9/1/13.... if this is correct then - Nope!

I don't think you need a lawyer at all since you have not missed your dates at all. Not unless you have some other odd flag we don't know about.

Ha my luck there could be one :)

But don't think so....one more question for you. The directions say two letters of Affidavits of two people who have known both of us since the conditional residence was granted and personal knowledge of our marriage and relationship.

It doesn't say non-family members......who do you think is best to ask?

family or non-family or does it not really matter?

It seems that he entered the US on K-1 on 2/17/2011, you got married on 4/23/2011 and applied for AOS which was approved on 9/1/2011 (check his Green Card). Is that correct? If yes, then you can relax, you are not late. The letter that you received is just a generic reminder letter that most people receive to remind them to file for ROC. If he did become LPR on 9/1/2011 then he can file as soon as 6/3/2013 and no later than 9/1/2013.

THANKS!!!

I don't think it really matters. I would just maybe pick a few with the closest knowledge and time spent together.

Here you go: Filing Date Calculator

Use the ending date on the GC, good luck. Don't use your marriage date. FYI they used a diferent start date than our approval by about 30 days. Dont know why and believe me I work to get it straight, they stuck with their date oh well.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I now at least understand the date from the letter.....it says 9/1/2011 and his green card says it expired 9/1/13

resident since 9/1/11.

I viewed the letter as he arrived in the US as 9/1/11 but I guess it meant the resident since 9/1/11

Someone else said it is a generic letter as a reminder but online it said no reminders would be sent.

He came on a k-1 fiance visa on 2/17/11, we were married 4/23/11

On the green card it says category CF1

.....now what is your expertise?????

Thanks!!!!

Alright, then like I said in my previous post, you're fine. Just make sure you file before 9/1/2013!

Yes, they say no reminders would be sent so that people don't rely on getting one, but most get a reminder anyway.

Is it possible to have the 'resident since' date adjusted back to the date of entry, or date of marriage? We waited a while to apply for AOS, so the resident since date on the green card pushes back the date on which we can apply for naturalization.

Absolutely not. It goes by the date they approved your AOS.

ROC 2009
Naturalization 2010
