Micky, am having the same problem but I can't even get into the payment portal as it says that I cannot make online payments and I did receive an email from nvc saying not ready for agent choice. Then I sent another email and I got a reply that it is not ready for agent choice. Hmmm! I don't know what is going on? is there anyone else that this is happening to. This is really frustrating and they r closed for the three day holiday.

Is the IV available to be paid or it's just showing up in the portal?

As for the AOS, there's been a delay recently. Some members are thinking this may be due to the new I-864 form and are holding all payments until they get instructions on how to review the form.

Hi everyone. Its time for me to send the IV packet to NVC and I could use some advice. I obtained the police certificate for my wife a while back (more than 6months ago). On the police certificate, there is no written expiration date but I'm fairly sure it has expired. Currently, my wife is getting a new police certificate but it might take another few weeks before she has it on hand. My question is should I wait to get the new police certificate or can I just send the packet now with the old version to NVC.

I tried looking on NVC's site and couldn't find anything about police certificate validity. If there's no expiration date on the certificate, you can always chance it and send the IV package with that certificate. This way, in case they do accept it, you wouldn't have wasted time.

Application still not uploaded.

That's interesting - foreign spouse lives in country where Electronic Processing or Electronic Forms is done? OK !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks a lot Saylin. I was thinking along the same lines. I'm hoping it won't be an issue at NVC. We will have the certificate by the time the interview is scheduled and my wife will take it with her to the embassy.

Hi Moudyan,

I have the same problem as you do. Early tonight, I was able to log in the payment portal which only showing the AOS fee NOT INVOICED with a $0 balance. Now, I cannot log into the payment portal either, and I got the same message saying that I cannot make online payment for my case at this time. I guess the AOS bill/IV bill is generating. Just keep checking during the long weekend.

No, no. Just waiting for the nvc to upload our initial 1-130 application so we can get a case number and shiz.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Good luck good.gif

To saylin under AOS my name is not there anymore and I can see my mother name under IV but is not available to pay.

Ah, ok. Well, the IV will only be invoiced once the DS-3032 has been accepted and added to the case file. As for the AOS, it's typically within a few days, but like I said yesterday, NVC appears to be holding off on invoicing AOS bills at the moment.

DS-230 question:

For employment, should one have gaps, or fill gaps with "unemployed" or "none"

Ex:

Company 1, City 1, June 2011 - Present

Company 2, City 1, March 2010 - March 2011

..

.

vs

Company 1, City 1, June 2011 - Present

Unemployed, N/A, January 2011 - June 2011

Company 2, City 1, March 2010 - January 2011

You don't need to fill in the gaps with "unemployed". It's kind of implied that if you didn't work during a certain time, that you were unemployed.
