Do you mean large framed women, or are you saying you've seen heavyweight women who you'd consider 'in shape'?

I think this question appears to be 'trollish' in nature, but it's a very valid question to ask. Many people have preferences....just like 'are you attracted to blondes/brunettes/redheads?' It's just that it's a sensitive subject.

I think it's wrong to jump to 'oh you're so shallow!' if someone has a preference. The heart wants what it wants imo.

Me personally? I couldn't be attracted to an anorexic or an obese man.

Finally an honest woman.

Do I get a prize? Huh?! Huh?! Huh?!

:D

Is it better to have a slim spouse or a fatty? Please keep this clean.

That's how the OP put it. You really think he isn't shallow? Someone who can only see two types of body types for people? In his own words there ARE only two - slim (notice he didn't say skinny, too skinny, skeletal - just a nice 'slim') and 'fatties'. period. Not "a slim spouse or an overweight spouse" or "a slim spouse or a heavy spouse". Not even a "skinny or a fatty". No, he typed a nice pleasant slim or a 'fatty' - slim used as a description, fatty used as a title.

That's what I have a problem with. His preference is obvious and shows he's bought into the hype that the rest of us who can see there are many types are ignoring. He doesn't see healthy and muscular or slim but athletic or heavy but proportionate . He seems his ideal slim and he sees the "fatties". And that is why he is shallow. Because with an attitude like that he shows he doesn't even consider someone who is fat a person, he considers them a fatty.

My weight withstanding, the weight I find attractive on a man withstanding - I have a major problem with that. I'm not slim, but I'm not overweight. The last time I checked with a doctor I was healthy. I really do wonder what the OP would see, however, if we ever crossed paths.

And so he did what countless punk-rock songs had told him to do so many times before: he lived his life

I think you're reading too much into the title and giving his words too much weight....no pun intended.

But as an aside, what do you care what the OP would see if he saw you?

Here's one more thought to everyone: to those of you making fun of his wee-wee size, isn't that being superficial too? It's hardly the same thing as someone who is heavy can diet, someone who is thin can eat...but a willy is a willy, and making fun of someone's body all the while calling him superficial is kinda hypocritical, no?

IT all depends on how active the person it, i've seen women that are thick, back east we even call some of these women Big Bones, they are very agile, the extra weight is not an issue. But it goes both ways, We had a halloween party and one of my coworker's girlfriend was there, we were all chatting, and she's taking very good care of him, some folks were teasing him how he gained some weight, she replied

I gota beef him up, once he's fat the other girls won't check him out.

Whethere it's a joke or not, I wonder how the women think.

It's always worth bearing in mind that a slim spouse can turn into a fat one, especially when they arrive and start eating the average crappy american diet

Yeah, with high fructose corn syrup in everything are we surprised? :P Seriously though, it is something that I am well aware of. I've joked with Larry that I am SERIOUSLY going to have to watch my diet over in the States. I'm pretty healthy in my eating habits here in the UK, I've just gotta stay away from too many boxes of Butterfingers.....

I don't care, it's a comment on his general view of people.

I get concerned when I see questions like this because I wonder if people are really thinking when they go into a marriage. No one stays young, the perfect shape or even healthy forever. We are all growing old and many of us will face serious health issues. The scariest thing I can think of is marrying someone who thinks this way. I know I married someone who will be with me even if it's through a serious disease. I wouldn't be so sure if I'd come on VJ and saw my fiance post a question on whats better - a slim spouse or a fatty. I'd have reservations. What if I get cancer and the chemo makes me lose all muscle tone and my body retains fluids and I swell up and all of sudden I'm 40lbs overweight? What if I we have twins and I don't have a chance to lose those 25lbs I gained during the pregnancy. Will he leave? Stop loving me? A question like that worries me for some girl out there. I dont' take questions like that anything less than seriously.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Wish I was slimmer... <_<

But then again, the question was about my preference in a spouse...

I'm not the type that holds on to a "preference". Many would argue that the mind may want what the mind may please. In my situation, I knew I was going to go through the arranged marriage process (culture, for which I have been a stickler since day 1), so I kept myself open-minded.

That said, having refused plenty of proposals and finally settling for my fiance based on meaningful values and the hopes of lifelong chemistry, I've come to realize that my mind is quite pleased indeed.

For those that may be confused... I'm the girl, my fiance is the guy (F).

It appears that many of you think that being fat or slim is irrelevant, yet the slim women are usually eitehr married or have had multiple marriages. And rich men are either married or have had multiple marriages.

The conclusion: Men GENERALLY like slim women and women GENERALLY like rich men. Which means that the slimmer women end up with the richer men most oftenly. [This does not mean the fat women end up with the poor men].

Wish I was slimmer... <_<

Ummm matako, why'd you quote my post?

I'm trying to see how your post responds to mine... and I can't seem to figure it out.

I never mentioned that it was irrelevent, you just have to look around you in the real world to see how relevent it is in most everyone's perception. I implied that I made a point of making it irrelevent in my requirements for a spouse.

How in the ** did you come to that conclusion.
