We waited for 254 days and finally our petition has been approved!!!!!!

Two calls to USCIS, two service requests, and one failed attempt to contact Congressman (his website had a broken link for the privacy authorization form).

Best wishes to all those waiting, and a massive thank you to the VJ community for the constant support and brilliant information.

Congrats to you both. Hope you weren't apart during that whole time, but I know for most people who work - you probably were. Hopefully things went well throughout the process. The process will run a lot smoother from now on.

Thank you to all, the support is overwhelming. We hope that all of you who are still waiting feel supported as well, and that you take great comfort in the fact that you are not alone.

To sandgoose, actually we have been relatively lucky - in the roughly 9 months of waiting, we were fortunate to spend 6 weeks together on a cruise ship (where we work), and I spent 3 months visiting Katya and her family and friends in Belarus.

Hopefully by the end of this year, we can simply go home. This is our biggest wish... our home.

Best wishes,

Ryan & Katya
