Oh, I did this. And then they told me I needed to wait till August 24th to get an answer to that. I called the congress woman office, they told me they'd get an answer to 4 to 6 weeks.) I just tried to schedule an infopass. I am pissed off

I will try to call again tomorrow and escalate my case to a tier 2 officer (again) and see what it does...

My Greencard was finally approved today, 2 weeks after I responded to the RFE from my local office

First email:

On July 26, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283

Second email:

On July 26, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I called USCIS today and spoke to tier 2 officer who told me my case has been transferred to my local office in Raleigh and said I need to wait until they make a decision. Also told me they are processing December applications and I should wait for 2 to 4 months for final decision. Anybody called USCIS in the past few weeks?

I assume that means you are in 'testing & interview' phase (I don't know if your on line status shows the same, but sometimes they don't update that). Another words, yours case is waiting for the interview to be scheduled. For some people it took few days but for me it took nearly 2 months in that step. And even after I got interview date it was 5 weeks ahead. Look at my signature and signatures of other people on April 2013 Filers to get an idea how long it can take. I think your office is pretty quick. So hang in there.

Ok, thanks for your response. My status hasn't changed since it was updated to RFE response review and that was almost 2 months ago. I guess I will just have to wait for the interview date then.

My local USCIS office is also Raleigh, so it is very interesting to hear about your progress...

We are aiming to contact a tier 2 officer tomorrow (we tried a couple of weeks ago - but there was a very long wait and we missed the call back) to check the progress of my AOS application. I had my biometrics on the same day as you and received my combo card (AP/EAD) during June. As far as my AOS application goes, my receipt number isn't recognised on the USCIS tracker. We are hoping that the tier 2 officer can confirm that everything is progressing as it should be. I will post on here once we talk to a tier 2 officer.

I spoke to a tier 2 officer and was advised that they are currently working on December filers and that it will take approx 120 days before they get to my file. At least I now know my application is still in progress!! And how long it should take from here...

Just got a letter from Raleigh office today indicating my case is an interview waiver case and there would be a delay of up to 6 months due to high volume of applications.
