I recently sent out the forms barely a week ago(i-130,i-765,i-485,i-131)The thing is i need to go home in a few weeks to attend a funeral and probably stay longer than a month. I understand that i need to do bio metrics sometimes later.Anyway my question was should i change my address to my home country,so i can continue with the process while there? Will this affect my AOS since i will no longer be in US?Please assist.

based on your type of prior visa, if you leave now your AOS will be considered abandoned by USCIS.

Do you have the initial receipt notices from USCIS? You should make an InfoPass appointment and ask for emergency advance parole to allow you to travel for the funeral. Bring your passport, your receipt notices, a freshly-filled-out I-131 and some evidence of the need to travel (preferably a copy of a death certificate, but maybe something else could work like printouts of emails related to the funeral). If they accept your application for emergency advance parole, you should get it either on the spot or within ~10 days.

If you depart the US mid-AoS without AP then your application is deemed to be abandoned by USCIS.

Your local office will not be able to issue you an AP, but they may be able to assist you in expediting the existing application.

You should make an Infopass appointment and take all of your NOAs, together with documentation of the emergency (such as a copy of the death certificate if a close relative) and they may be able to get your AP expedited so that you receive it before you need to depart the US.

If you leave the US without your AP you will not be able to re-enter and will have to start over.

You leaving technically won't affect the petition (I-130), but it absolutely will affect your adjustment (I-485). Even after getting your advance parole, leaving for any more than a week or two is ill-advised.

The I-131 is a form used for multiple purposes. Only re-entry permits can be sent to consulates abroad. The I--131 is also used to apply for a re-entry permit, but you are not applying for this document and are not eligible for it.

You can ignore what we say, but you won't be able to continue your adjustment if you leave--and you very well might not be able to get back into the US at all.

I found that information on the instructions for form 1-131 i quote, "Departure from the united states before a decision is made on an application for a reentry permit usually does not affect the application .However,if biometric collection is required and the applicant departs the United states before the biometrics are collected, the application may be denied"

You are NOT applying for a reentry permit. You are applying for Advance Parole. I-131 is a form that is used for many things. Anything regarding reentry permit does not apply to you.

If you leave before Advance Parole is approved, then you will formally abandon your I-485 and lose your money and be stuck outside the US. It;s in the I-485 instructions.

You are not applying for a re-entry permit, you are applying for advance parole.

Plus, that form is talking specifically about that form only. Your main application, and the form on which everything hinges, is the I-485.
