My wife arrived here on conditional greencard, and after two years, last November we filed the removal of conditions form, with what I thought was plenty of evidence:

1)deed to our home in both our names

2)credit card bill in both names

3)Joint Bank account

4)Photos of us together

5)Travel plans we made together

6)401K with my wife as the beneficiary

7)Life insurance policy, with my wife as beneficiary

8)Joint Federal Tax returns for 2010 & 2011

9)Signed affidavits from neighbors and parents.

Yet they considered this insufficient evidence. I'm really puzzled what more they expect as evidence. We are expecting our first child within two months and I need to send this evidence before then.

I can send my state tax return, and car insurance/registration in both our names, but I don't know what else will convince them. Did anyone face a similar situation where they needed to submit more evidence? Or does anyone know why this was considered insufficient?

Did you send monthly or quarterly statements from your bank account spanning the time you have been married? Or just one statement? Same question for credit card?

You can send proof of pregnancy now.

Did you actually take those trips together, or just "plan" them?

Do you have joint utilities?

What would be a "proof of pregnancy"? I sent a few bank statements, but it wasn't spanning the time since we got married. Does it really need to go back that far? I thought they just wanted a few recent ones. I looked at our utility bills, and they only have my name. As for the trips, we took them together.

Yes, they want proof of a bank account spanning the years of your marriage, so adding earlier statements would be good. This and lack of joint utilities might also be the cause of your RFE. I would send quarterly statements as far back as it goes. For the pregnancy, you could include a doctor's statement or a copy of an ultrasound, if you have it.

Send the car registration, pregnancy info, and more bank statements and don't worry too much. Maybe add boarding passes from your trips if you have them (they way you worded it sounded like you send "plans" for trips, but no proof of having taken those trips.) Good luck.

That's exactly why they sent you an RFE. You have plenty of evidence, but not spanning the entire period of marriage or at least since your wife became a permanent resident, which is a requirement. It is clearly stipulated in the I-751 instructions.

Just give them what they want and you will be fine.

What Harpa Timsah said above would be good and sufficient proof of pregnancy.

I got the same RFE. And we sent in plenty of evidence.

They request ALL the pages of the bank statements for checking and savings. It was at least 4 pages per month and I sent them all in. Anything that can show intermingling money is the best. If you have life insurance policies with each other as beneficiaries too. Plus show proof that the policies are paid up to date and active. If both of your names are on the lease for apt/house, send that in too.

We sent in multiple utility bills, car insurance, regisitration, car titles, I even had my husband put on a quitclain deed for the house.

We ended up having a interview and STILL haven't heard a word about it. So we have an infopass for tomorrow so he can get the I-155 stamp on his passport so he can continue to work while we wait.

I'm losing it here. Once again the USCIS has us at a stand still. At least this time we are together.

Good luck!

Let's not scare the OP. Interviews are relatively rare at the ROC stage and usually reserved for cases with either red flags or some big problem(s) in the application package, usually when they have reasons to believe the marriage may not be legit and they want to find out in person.

OP- just send all the documents you sent + older documents spanning the entire period of your marriage (quarterly statements sound good) + proof of pregnancy and/or any other relevant evidence that you might have in your possession between filing ROC and the present time, and you'll be fine. All RFEs usually mean is "give us x and y and z document and we will approve you". We tend to become too emotionally attached in this forum and take everything personally (and to an extent it's only human to feel this way), but let's not forget that we are dealing with a bunch of bureaucrats who just need to tick their boxes before they move on to the next case

So just help them tick their boxes and you are going to be fine.
